+ 1 Stomach bug going around
Watch out for this bug. Had to go to the ER late Friday and spent the night there. I have never thrown up so hard and so many times in my life. Never felt that bad either, that I can remember. Everything from dinner on just sat in my stomach all night til the purge started. I had had a great leg day and got my BF tested and came out at 8.5% earlier.
Usually with something like this I know its coming and after I throw up I can sleep it off. Not this time, couldn't get my glucose back up, was 39 when I got to ER as I'm diabetic. The first 2 rounds of anti-nausea meds did nothing and I threw up everything they gave me to get my BS up. Had to get a couple large syringes of dextrose to get it up to a little over 100 plus the IV drip with it in it.. They finally gave me a more powerful anti-nausea med that worked and I finally stopped puking.
My back, side and stomach hurt so bad that they gave me a Ct scan to make sure nothing was wrong.
And then the other end started to purge and still is a little.
Not fun when you are hooked up to two IVs and multiple ekg leads.
Finally got released in the morning. The next phase hit with the most gas I have ever had, huge ones every couple minutes for the next 24+ hours
Stay safe out there.

Need to get you one of those new glucometers that attach to you and relays readings to your phone instantly. Gives critical alerts too.

Have one that links to my pump and controls insulin delivery.
Perfect.
Wish all diabetics had them when needed.
Buddy I have seen those things - its like a circular patch with a needle on the end that pins into the side of your shoulder and continually transmits readings to your phone right? They are quite expensive though, you need to try and get health insurance to cover it I seem to remember.
That's it and they are invaluable. Over here, some insurance cover it.
I had this about a month ago, my whole family got it but no one had it like me. I tore my esophagus/throat open on the FIRST puking, then proceed to throw up for 18 hours straight with that wound in my throat. It bled so much, I was scared, I held my mouth open and it just poured. And it wasn’t like any puking I’ve ever had. Usually I’ll throw up and then just kinda be chilling out for like two hours and then puke again. This time it was like every 15 minutes ALLLL night, and I had nothing to puke it was just brutal, my abs were in PAIN real fucking pain. And my stomach vial was like black from my digestion issues I was having. It was fucking nightmare, I almost cried cus I wanted it to end. I’m lucky it was 18 hours, if it went on for like 3 days, I woulda ducking died or been begging for death. Sounds like your experience was probably similar, I’ve never had anything like it but I didn’t get anything out the other end. Glad yours is over bud
Get well soon!!
Damn mate, Glad to hear you are okay now. Didn't need that with everything else thats going on atm, I bet its very difficult when you fall ill when you are diabetic also.
It is more difficult. One of my worries going forward living alone.
Sorry to hear that buddy.
