Road Rage - A lesson to be learnt.....
Had an interesting afternoon today. Picked up junior from school for a change as I got home early only to be involved in what I would describe as the most extreme anger outburst I've ever seen.
Effectively a car pulls out in front of me from a side road, I swerve onto the other side of the road to just about avoid him, this guy the jumps out of his car shouting and screaming that I should have just let him out. Ok, calm down, nobody is hurt I thought to myself. I should point out here that I drive a Range Rover with tinted windows, so this lad can't see in......
In his rage he comes over to my car and opens the passenger door which is nearest to him. The seat my young daughter is in. The door opens, he starts swearing and threatening me going crazy right in my daughters face. Now I'm in "protective dad mode". So I jump out, walk round to greet him, he looks at me and says "oh shit".......
My daughter is petrified by this guy, (who must have been about 140lbs by the way), crying etc in the car so I'm now as angry as this guy was. I settle my daughter, then go back to his car to "discuss" with him. By which time he has decided he no longer wants to threaten or attack me for some strange reason and is really sorry. So sorry that he climbs into his own boot to get away from me lol!!!!
End result was I didn't, (and wouldn't), lay a finger on him. Hopefully the fact that he was scared will stop him behaving like that again. I'm a big softie usually, but when it involves upsetting my kids, the game changes.
Hope my event entertains!

It was hilarious mate, never seen anyone change their mind so quickly. I'm guessing it went something like "I'm big, I'm tough, I'll kick his arse, oh shit, RUN AWAY lol"
You deserve to feel good about yourself sir. You did set an awesome example for the little one and you showed her that daddy will always protect her. Protection doesn't always mean that you hurt someone but that you can set the fear of god in them with just a look. I LOVE IT! She's going to tell this store when she an adult and will still have a warm feeling.. You are awesome!
Thank you for your kind words, much appreciated. One of the good things about my size is it often defuses confrontation without the need to threaten or hurt anyone.
I clipped a wing mirror on this fellas car, no damage, literally skimmed it. Starts going mental over it. I step outta car, he goes quiet. I'm not even big, I think it's wen they realize it's on they stfu.
You did well with your patience, it would've ended bad, and not wot ur girl would want to see you do.
Little pussy jumped in his boot, brilliant. Hope he feels humiliated. Better than kicking his ass!!
AnonVery entertaining , and I bet if you simply rested your hand firmly where his shoulder meets his neck, youd have seen a trickle of water come out the pant leg lololol
Ooooh brother.. I bet his asshole turned inside out when you stepped out the car... what you at now about 260 or something?... what was he bro the usual fkn chav scum we have to deal with over here... hope the lass is ok bro knowing you, you will have put her back together quick sharp
She's fine, bit shook up but knows I wouldn't let anyone hurt her. She found the climbing into the boot to get away from me funny!!!!
Taught him a lesson, id bet thats the last time he does that. He probably ruined a perfectly good pair of slacks too.
You're a better man than I am, for sure
Whilst he probably deserved a kicking. I'm not getting locked up for it! I think the scare was probably enough to teach him a lesson.
WOOO!!! Goddamn that's impressive. That's a lesson to everyone else of how to be a good father. You set a good example for your daughter. Stay level headed, calm, and be ready. Anger leads to rash decisions but you handled that like a champ! I'm sure your daughter was really proud of you afterward. Hell I'm proud of you! I hate cocky small guys who most likely have never been in a real conflict to understand the consequences of their actions or immaturity.
Once she calmed down she found it highly amusing watching him hiding in his boot! Good way of making light of the episode afterwards.
