Okay guys I want to first address that I haven't competed in a EBC yet mainly because I have three young kids that make it impossible to put forth the time and effort to really compete. With that being said and this is just a idea but do members think its fair for a average joe and a pro to compete in the same EBC? I mean these pros are exactly that pros(or so we think going off a investigation as we speak). I think it would be fun to have separate EBCs. What does the community think?

Hey guys I just want to thank you guys for not biting my head off over this post.
It's actually harder for the pro to win.
Take Viking for example. Perfect is perfect -not going to get much improvement there.
For me on the other hand; I suck in my gut, there's a big improvement... I win.
IMO (having been a judge) the basis of winning the EBC is fluid and based on the merits of the "obvious" work put in to meet the goals and requirements of the EBC so with that said there is no real edge to be had
If dude 1 is 195 and enters a bulk comp and pulls off a 220 and dude 2 is 220 and pulls off a 240 who would you think made the most 'visible' gains... we don't use IFBB regs here guys :))
anybody can make improvements. just challenge yourself. no excuses.

I have three young kids, and I know they take priority. However at 5:00 am they are still asleep so I'm in the gym at 5 am. I get home and they are still in bed. Just get up earlier.
As far as pros vs. joes. I wouldn't worry about that either. I was a judge for a previous EBC and the judging was never about who was the biggest it was about who made the best improvements. Believe me, it's not that easy for a seasoned pro to make huge improvements in one cycle. Well, with the exception of Suze, but she's immortal and can't be thought of as the average person.
So jump in brother. Don't let anything hold you back. You might just walk away with a duffle bag of free gear.
Lol Ed its okay I call you that right? I'm not trying to make a excuse I was just throwing out ideas....I believe I'm in pretty decent shape not much has changed from the last pics I posted. I honestly would like to see joes and pros in different contest because they would both be fun to watch. You can't tell me that watching Vike,Phil, ect....go at it wouldn't be fucking awesome!!! I appreciate your encouragement brother. I may just enter the winter EBC

A couples EBC isn't a bad idea. There plenty of couples here now..
RustyhookerI've run 3 ebc events so far. If it pushes you harder to hit the pros or at least personal best....I'm in it! Bbuilding has always been a solo sport. No wingman to catch your failures. One trial...one run...one goal. For group events hit soccor or rugby. I'm old, broken and tired but after 30 years of being huge, skinny, fat, lean....its all still part of my life. Make your goals reality. With youngsters....been there....it IS difficult. I was a single dad of 2. Lol!
I don't think Myself,Phil or Nuk Nuk will be entering the Next EBC. I fact I like seeing the Joes go at it !! I was once told there is 24 hrs in a day !! Just because your married have Kids work 10-12 hrs a day is no excuse !!! It only takes an hour in the Gym. Yes it may not be the time we like to go but go in. This being said go get it Joes !!!!!
I hear ya brother. I'd like to see the pros go at it. There are some beasts lurking in the community.
Every EBC is different tho. Some are actually stacked more towards the regular Joes. I have not competed either but I think it is a great way to inspire people to dig deeper than they otherwise would. Plus, it isn't like you have to pay an entry fee. It's free.
