I am curious to hear the thoughts of those who have come to peace with it.

I have. I have set my two children down the path of objectivity and being an individual. Neither of them will become a victim. Children are full of surprises but I'm fairly certain they will be upstanding representatives of the human race at large.

This gives me peace and satisfaction to no manner/matter of end.
