Politely staying on track with your diet
When I'm at home it's really not too big of a deal for me to stack on track with eating right. But damn near EVERY time I go over to pick up my fiance, my future in-laws are cooking and they always insist that I stay and eat with them. These people make some of he best food I've ever had Every meal includes fresh made bread and Irish butter. They are always having amazing meats like perfectly cooked prime rib, sirloin, crab legs, lamb....it's torture!
They already like me a lot, but since I'm a big guy they know I can eat a lot and they are always encouraging me to help finish up what's left over, or take home what's left.
This is KILLING my diet! I've added 40 lbs since the start of this cycle. I know a LOT of it is water weight, but I also a know a bit of it is from fat as well.
I don't know how to tell these people no..........(and hell, with how well they cook I'm not sure if I really want to!)

CleyonI'd go over and talk to the Mom and Dad alone. Explain that you have goals, and their food is soooooo good that it's a huge temptation to you. Ask them to be a part of your team, and when you are eating with them ask them to chide you about your portions or carbs, fats, ect. They may be resistent, but if you can get them on your team it will make it a LOT easier.
AnonHaha my inlaws suck at cooking, in fact once they damn near killed me with food poisoning from mushrooms stuffed with sausage meat.
Any way It sounds like the only way to go with your inlaws is Food combining . If they are making a dinner with a protien as the focus then stick to that and the broccoli or asparagus, just skip the bread or potatoes.
Slowly educate them on macro-nutrients. keep them pleased with your ravings about their food. They will eventually question their foods macro's. as for me, Id just eat it.
My in laws are the same bro! But I just plane said I'm training for a competition(ebc) and they backed off understanding I was working towards a goal. Just explain to them that you have goals that can only be met with a strict diet. Good luck bro!
