Personal best lifts?
ad
I wana hear some personal best lifts from all of you guys! Doesn't matter what you weight or the poundage you lifted, as long as it was a personal best that's all that counts! Doesnt matter if it was 5lbs over a previous lift or how many reps, sets you did with it. I wana hear what you guys gave to say! I'm creating this thread in hopes that a lot of people will post on it! So let's hear what you guys got?!?!
*NOTE it doesn't have to be the 3 typical lifts, it can be anything from skull crushers to laying leg curls! Any lift guys.

1 rep max on deadlifts is 500 lbs with straps. My grip strength needs to be improved maybe I won't have to use those straps anymore, it's a weakness of mine. Bench is 405. Honestly don't know my max squat. I might have to find out lol. I strained my back a few weeks ago so that's set me back a little bit as well. But ya gotta lift big to get big right!
Bump
we have had this very post like 5 times over the last couple years, if you do a search you will find some im sure.
225 deadlift was a huge PR for me
Don't you mean deadliftS?
yes.... deadliftS... as in more than one. Actually it was more than 5. But who's here to be picky? ;)
405 pound deadlift at 190 pounds
105 pound dumbbell press
315 front squat
Bump
405 on bench, 345 on incline, and probably my strongest is my traps, 495 is the most I can fit on the bar, so its 1 plate for 20reps, 2 plates for 20 reps, until i get to 5 plates for 4 sets of 10 reps and then i start dropping plates back down to 2 plates.
545lb stiff legged dead lifts for a set of 12!!!!
RustyhookerDecline isopress 375 x 8
225 one arm rows for sets of 10
625 for sets of 15-20 hipsled
I think I had my best max on bench during my last T-Bol cycle from hulk. 375lb for one push. Start my first true intramuscular cycle when I get back from my vacation
I dont max but 1000 plus the sled for 8 reps. 135 for 8 with good form on the standing bb curl.
I am pure 100% bodybuilder so i dont do what a lot of you guys do regarding weight - lifting, and im old and decrepit so heres some examples of what i still use today for sets and reps until failure.
Incline bench 400+
incline flye 65k... 143.3lbs d/bells
leg press 650+
extensions/ leg curls... full rack. 100k
lat pulldowns................full rack. 100k
low pulley rows............full rack. 200k
shoulder press............150+k.... d/bell work for shoulders ..again weight is irrelevant..pump and flush all the way untill the veins are like cigars and i cant lift the arms even without weight.
arms i dont give a fk about the weight i train for pump and flush till they nearly explode, dont squat no more due to sciatic problems (left leg) leg press does me fine, if you notice from my pics i have massive traps!.. thats from 200k shrugs and 100k upright rows.
Sounds like a case of old man strength, impressive lifts regardless of any age. Excellent shit brother!!
Beast!!
Im the same way, I never max out cause its pointless for what I am trying to achieve for the show. Im not nearly as strong as some of these guys but I prefer quality over quantity!
A lot of BB have this philosophy. But there is a physical benefit to maxing.
We all know that there are two kinds of muscle fibers, slow twitch and fast twitch. IMO to build a muscle to its up most potential you need to hit both. I do this by increasing the up to my max on the 4th or 5th set. Then with no rest drop set 50% of that max to failure. This is referred to as "Need & Feed". Hitting both slow and fast twitch fibers. Pump is unbelievable.
Nothing as huge as some of you guys but I have maxed on the bench @315 but my usual max is sub 300. Squats I have only done 315, I know I can do more but I admit I don't want to injure myself either. Deadlifts also 315. In my 3rd week of my first test cycle now though and I plan on besting my best's..
hey man, progress is progress. Doesnt matter if its 5lbs or 2 more reps.
Thanks guys. I should also clarify that 315 was benching on the smith, I am not sure if it truly qualifies. We have not done a max out chest day in awhile. We have been concentrating on heavy reps of 6-8 and alternating heavy negative bench sets in.
Smith machine, hammer strength, life fitness, Natulis, as long as you make an improvement from your last workout, weather it be 1 or 2 more reps or shit even 2.5lbs. That's still an improvement.
I live by that. Lil bit here, lil bit there, always forward!
damn right gorilla!
QV1170Bench 445 X 2
Squat 595 this was a long time ago I don't bench anymore and never go over 315 anymore on squats or dead lift
Out of respect for the OP I'll play along.
Bench 325lbs
Squat 405lbs
I'm under 200lbs btw.
I plan on keeping it that way.
Seems like this is starting to turn into a joke, was afraid of that.
Come on loto, it's all in good fun.
Lighten up my man. Life is too short.
only if you make it that way ;)
115 bench (bow flex)
60 lbs leg extensions (bow flex)
10 crossfit style pull-ups with help from a spotter.
Oh and I've gone for over an hour on one of those old school weight loss machines that you stand on and wrap a belt around your waist, turn it on and it makes your hips wiggle.
Hahahaha, bowflex. Ed lifts rubber bands.
Hey, its plastic rod technology! Rubber Bands are for pussies! LOL ;-P
135lbs 5x clean on the bench! FUCK YEAH!
Finally curled those 15lb dumbbells too.
225 on the bench ;-)
65lb dumbell hammer curls.. sets of 10
225 close grip lat pull downs sets of 8
this cycle was a fun cycle for me ;-)
That's beast mode right there, I love it!!
StevebDamn
505 deadlift x2 (strapped) I remember the day. I was working my way up to 405 which is what I would be repping. I decided I was feeling good, went up to 465. Now I'm gaining interest. One or two of the old timers are looking over. By the time I put on 505, a damn group of old timers were watching me. I'm in my own little zone and didn't really notice until I had the 505 on there...i looked around and thought to myself, fuck now I gotta hit this!
blackrock90895 on the bench, raw
2495 squat raw (they had to ziplock 2 olympic barbells together, one resting on front delt as in a front squat, and one conventional squat.
deadlift 2 full grown heifers that have been on tren for several years.
C'mon maaaan!
But you believed the zip lock bar squat and the heifer deadlift? LOL ;-P
Bench: 415
Squat: 475
Deadlift: 605
I haven't worked on lower body as much over the past several months due to leg and lower back issues. But that's about to change. Gonna bust ass to try to break 5 bills on squats and get back to 600 on deadlifts. Hit my bench PB this past December. Just not worth the strain it puts on my elbows so that's likely gonna be it for a while.
Glute\Quad kickback machine 205x15x3sets! Thats right racked it + the 15lb knob! LOL ;-P
I'm almost racking the Hip Abduction and Adduction machines also!
Still can't break 300 on the bench though (285) but its coming!
Deadlift current 455 Raw, Squat 335x4.
StevebMy bench was lagging until I started focusing on dumbbells instead of the using the bar all the time. Try staring your chest routine with dumbbells for a while, then 300lbs will feel light.
Thanks, I was working with dumbbells most of the time before due to no spotter and shoulder issues on Bar. Dbs I've gotten 120's x 3 in the past, haven't done much heavy with them recently due to forearm tendons and not being able to get them in place easily.
StevebDumbbell bench press 150lb x10
485 for a single max raw bench, in competition (242lb class). Deadlift 585 x 3, with straps always... I have terrible grip strength and forearms tend to cramp easy. 545 x 6 on the squat, back when I used to squat before I tore my MCL for a second time. Just started to regain confidence squating. Got a couple of corny vids on youtube floating around with some of these lifts.
425 x 6 reps on squat. Shoulder has been bothering me so I've been taking it easy on chest. Regardless, I never ever go under 4-6 reps.
My personal best/favorite is incline dumbbell flyes-70lbs dumbbells x8. Here's the funny part, I'm only getting 315 on the bench x2. It turns heads.
375lbs power clean
550lbs full squat
405lbs full front squat
