I’m one of the proudest Americans you’ll ever meet, but we definitely stick our noses into more than we should for the sake of money, and for the last 40ish years, increasingly over time, our strings are being pulled by Israel. People need to understand the difference between Jewish people and Israel, Judaism and Zionism, its two entirely different conversations. The thing that bothers me the most is how so many people think we’re going to make change over there. Our great country is 250 years old, Persia is one of the oldest areas inhabited by humans, some say a hundred thousand years, with organized settlements and culture dating back 10,000 years B.C. The best part about that? They’ve been fighting as long as the history has been recorded. The people of Iran, Israel, China, Russia, etc… aren’t our enemies, I’ve met people from all those countries and they were great, it’s the governments controlled by the money people (oligarchs or whatever you want to call them) that are the problem. I’d bet if you considered the entire population of the United States, 9/10 Americans have never even met an Iranian. Not someone whose great grandparents were from there, a current day or first generation Iranian. The ones I’ve met have been wonderful people, same as the Chinese and Russians I’ve known.
I know several and they call themselves Persian. They are all of the Baha'i faith and escaped. If they didn't declare Muslim as their faith they couldn't legally work. If they were discovered working they were threatened with death or jail.
Iran is a deathtrap for boots on the ground. Very difficult for supply chains, a logistics nightmare. Hence, the neutralizing of the theocracy and a call for Persians to reclaim their country.

If it reaches a certain point, I think Iran will just let loose whatever they have. They may not have nuclear fission figured out, but they could definitely spread a lot of radioactive material around.
