Banking reform. You'll see a lot of it on the horizon and you can thank the federal government with their ever growing list of regulations.

Main thing on the horizon is the dodd frank act. Most banks are gearing their software to screen transactions and scrutinize more heavily. That's in addition to a requirement known as FATF or fintrac. The requirement states the need for full remitter and beneficiary name, address, account numbers, etc. Part of anti money laundering policies and this is being watched more cautiously now as well. Wasn't followed as closely in the US as it was internationally previously.

The method you speak (fairly certain I know which one) does not clear their own wire transactions. It may look like that when you go to your local store front, but they actually clear small transfers via ACH (at a large institution) and large transfers via FED/CHIPS with accounts that they hold at large US Dollar clearing institutions. It's the processing platforms at those institutions that screen for the above requirements.

I actually like using this means of doing business. I really don't want to have to mess with bitcoins. My transactions are generally under 3 bills so its not going to effect me yet but I'm afraid that with terrorism and homeland security tightening up. It will eventually effect us all
