+ 3 Need to talk it out and get some feedback. Negative aside, this is very serious for me.....
So My grandpa has been dealing with the big C, yep Cancer. He has been going through Chemo, radiation for awhile now. He is very weak, lost over 50 pounds... Well Him and my grandma also have custody of my two cousins, uncle is a drug addict fresh out of the joint... My grandma calls me all the time saying how hard it is for her, and how she is in desperate need of some help. I went to visit for a week awhile back to try and help get some things done around the house and what not.... Well he is coming on the last of his chemo/radiation fingers crossed they need my help more then ever right now while he tries to recover from that evil bitch... I have said i would move out there and help out as much as i can. I am Just dont know about finding work out there, a new gym lol petty i know but important and all that comes with moving. Also will not know anyone and be a totally different life then i am use too, I have always been in big cities... Grandma has already said she will make sure bills are not an issue for me while i find a job, due to how much help i will be in other areas, p.s money is not an issue for them... Just nervous as hell to up and change my life, i mean everything i know will change.. I just need to be there for them, just scared for my own selfish reasons also. I am pretty sure i can still get gear out there, they dont have mailboxes but a little post office that collects for the town, anyone else deal with this? Insight would be great haha..... but overall i posted this to just get some feedback from you guys, always get good supportive feedback, i could use it.....

best wishes bro. stay strong
if you have been close to them your whole life then go, you only have one family. i think you will really regret it if you dont go. idk if you believe in God, but he has a plan for all of us, and maybe this is just one of his tasks/test for you to go thru to make you a stronger person. obviously money isnt an issue, i am sure there will be a gym, and im sure you can still get roids. i am in a town where i know no-one but i do have a woman in my life so its not bad at all and it makes it easier. i am sure your grandfather would do it for you, i would be on my way brother, good luck with everything and i will pray for your family and your grandfather.
Anonyoull still be able to get gear as long as there is an addy of some sort...go!
FUCK gma had me in tears just now, telling me how gpa is still very weak. She has been doing all the house chores, and is extremely tired.... A part of me was hoping it was getting better so that i could stay FUCKING SELFISH OF ME Its official, i HAVE to go down there and lend my hand.... Here is to a journey that i have no idea where it will lead.....
CleyonMy experience is that doing the right thing always leads to good things. It may be different than what you thought your future held, but you won't care.
Best of luck kill, Our ability to adapt and overcome is truly what makes us men. I have a lot of respect for what you are doing. I am sure it sucks, but I guarantee you will survive, and you are making your self into a better man for doing so. Think of the real life karma points you're gonna earn!
I was livin 1800 miles away from my family. One of my best friends where I was had a close family member die, I saw what he went through... I knew in my heart where I needed to be, close to my family. Bro I'll put it like this... You can find a new gym, you can get gear elsewhere, you can make new friends. You only have one family bro. Do what your heart tells ya, leave the petty shit and your old life behind ya. It's a new adventure in life a new challenge. you can and will overcome it and be there for your family. sounds like a win/win to me?
Anonyou may find that you like the smaller town it does have some benefits and some drawbacks.. mostly you'll find that the pace of life is much slower... Go help your family spend time with them they are the most valuable resources a person can have. I MISS the hell out of my grandparents and mother there isn't a day that doesn't go by that I don't think about them and wish that I could ask them a thousand questions. You wont want to trade the time with them for anything.
THANKS guys, you are all really supportive. Guess i just needed to hear some of this. i dont have a career that stops me from going, really nothing stopping me. i can compete anywhere, travel to a show if need be. You all have some stories that seem to understand what i am going through. i will be going down there, just talked to grandma she really needs me down there. I think it may be moral support then anything, but will be worth every second i get with him...
Glad to here bro! My father just had open heart surgery a couple weeks ago. I didnt know how serious the recovery was going to be and if his girlfriend who herself literally just finished chemo treatments would be able to help much taking care of his needs now. So I had prepared myself for making a move for a little to help out. Turns out they are doing just fine and there isnt a need for me to do that. Blessings are with you and the fam!
AnonThe time you have with them now may not be available later, or you may have other obligations in life that you couldnt even consider this. If you do this you may regret the temporary disruption to your life, but if you dont five years from now, if hes passed away, will you constantly regret not being there ?
CleyonYour heart already answered the question, amd I think it's been backed up by everyone else here. Good luck brother, makes me miss my grandparents, I was happy to be able to help them out during the end. I hope this becomes a great experience for you too.
BigSweazAs someone who lost their grandpa (whom i was very close with) a little over a year ago to cancer as well i say get your ass out there and help. I know its scary changing everything up but you gata do it bro. Think of it this way, you grandpa would do it for you in a second if the tables were turned. Ill never forget the last hug i got from my grandpa in front of his old recliner. We hadnt stood up in weeks cuz he was so weak and he managed to get up to give his grandson a hug. We both knew it was the last time we were going to see each other........ Ah man, i miss that fucking guy sooo much. Help your grandparents bro, they deserve it.
Is some tough shit bruh, sounds like you got a big heart & you deserve all my respect from doing that, i take my hat off to you. Thumbs up for you my man.
naguib123i say go for it, if they need u, they need ya... u have ur whole life for competition. i say u take it man, sometimes new things will grant u better opportunities. and if u need a supplier, thats what eroids is for. gym, im sure u ll find something, look on the web, try an see if there is a 24 hour fitness or something. if u do lose some muscles and cant train then its not the end of the world, when u go back to training u ll get it all back, just alittle thing called muscle memory. i say adventure time brother, cuz ur grandparents have less time. and u dont wana miss out on them just to compete, u ll get ur chance bro
If you dont go....can ya Live with the guilt? My Gpa had chf and incare help but i sure wish i went to visit more. He's been dead for a while now. Radd old dude.
Bro I was partially raised by my grandparents. At the end my gramps was on dialysis 3x a wk and I drove him to every appt not cuz I wanted to but becuz he didn't want anybody else but me to take him. He was and always be the greatest hero I've ever had in my life. Having those memories are so precious to me its hard to put the emotions into words. Although at the time I didn't like it so much. Even though he is gone I still can look back and know that I was there for him when he needed me. Being there for ur grandparents nephews or any member of ur family is one of the most honorable things u can do bro. Trust me when it's all said and done the things u remember on ur death bed isn't about money or ur job or the fun and parties u had. It's the regret u have of the things in ur life u didn't do. When my gramps was at the end he kept saying he wished he would have done this or that. And I honestly regretted for a long time I never told him how much I loved him and how precious every lesson he taught me was and how I cherished every moment I spent with him. But u know what brother I look back now and think to myself that he knew it. Without me needing to say it he knew that I loved him everytime I took him to his appointments and our daily trips to the dollar store. He knew where he stood in my life without me ever needing to say a single word.
Sounds like u already know what ur going to do bro. And if getting gear is an issue bro I'll send u some myself homie. I'm glad u shared ur story. It proves that Eroids is much more than a steroids site. It's family!
I like that story man, it reminds me of me and my gramps. He is and will always be the only real "father" figure i ever had. Ha i remember when i was a kid, i would get into some trouble he would come clean up my mess before my "real" dad got home so i didnt get my ass kicked. He would drop anything and everything to come help me, or just get me outta the house. I know the right thing to do is go out there and be of any help i can be no matter how big or small it might be. i am glad you shared that with me, really hits home for the feelings i have towards my gramps. He is the meanest nicest person in the world haha, he will tell me i am fucking moron but tell me how he did worse shit at his age to teach me its ok to fuck up, but to stop being a moron haha... Its not so much getting gear, i have a nice little stash right now. I am more saying never been in a small town, the dont have mailboxes just a little post office that collects everything. I think every house has there own box there, so wasnt sure how that would work. Even my gramps said if i do come out there, i better not let my own life goals suffer.... man is my hero, and so is my grandma best people i know...
Damn between you n GS stories i must have got something in my eye! Shit makes me wish I had more time with my grandfather. He passed when I was only 12. Was too young to have really had some serious convos with him, which if he were alive now I would have picked his brain like none other. He was a Marine too, around NY during the 'good ole boy days' were good ole boys not todays mess! He is like a god in my family the women still get choked up and men still look up to him maybe 16 years later. Doesnt sound like you have much holding you down where youre currently at bro. If not and youre that close with them, make the move and take it from there. I wouldnt give up a career if you have anything that serious goin on. Say money isnt a problem for them too, so looks like they just need your presence! Best wishes to you and the family!
Well whoever raised u brother did a damn fine job! Ur a good man and I understand u not wanting to give up on ur goals. Take ur time doing some research on what types of gyms they have out there. Access to food. And I have my PO box right at my post office. I know em pretty good now they always smile when they see me bro. Just like researching gear and srcs do plenty of homework so that way u can make the right choice. Come back n let us know how it goes and what u plan on doing. Good luck brother
oh ill make sure to keep you posted man, ur good support i like it. You a good man yourself, maybe ill look into my own PO box there. That way granny doesnt open it thinking its hers lol that would be a story to come up with haha... if it does happen, it will actually be really soon...
brother family comes before anything. small town would be a great thing for you to focus on your goals in the gym. but, small town people can, at times, be very closed-minded making it difficult to interact with them; others, are the best people in the world. i'd say follow your heart.
i moved in with my grandparents a while back for the same reasons, although i was working on the ranch for $ so i didnt have to look for a job it still was awesome for me to get away from the city life. a lot less drama it seemed, i could focus on my tasks at hand without any distractions. and the fact that my grandparents practically raised me, felt good to return the favor almost when i moved out to help them. (sorry for the personal rambling, anyway long story short i say go for it brotha.)
yep same thing with me, they always took me in when dad was doing his thing with the beer and what not.... They were always there for me, so thats why i need to be there for them. Just worried about my competing goals, ha seems petty but its what is important to me..
not petty at all. i now see your dilema. for me i didnt have the desire to compete nor will i, but the nearest gym was 15 miles away. im almost sure they're bound to have a gym within that radius..hell you might even have it all to yourself(awesome)
ya i am sure they have something, if not they have a town like 15-20 minutes away. Ill make the drive if i have too.... Now the little post office is a whole other issue haha, but i would imagine it would work the same?
id imagine. i doubt you'll run into problems at all though. likely hood they'll be the most friendly and laxidasical people in the town and just hand you your mail no questions asked haha
