If you get caught and you use a fake name then there is an extra criminal charge of conspiracy also.

In all seriousness, what kind of job are we talking about? If you are military or DoD I would recommend having someone else do it for you. If you're just a regular guy with a regular good job then I wouldn't worry.

Man can you imagine getting nailed for gear, then getting identity theft thrown on top of it all because you tried to cover your ass with a fake name. Talk about a bad day.

I use an alias for my first name but keep my last name the same. Never had an issue. If they ask I'd just say its a nickname everyone calls me. I've got about 100 package over the years and only 1 got seized like 10 years ago. No worries

If your pack is seized you just tell your source and be cool and see if they'll reship.

And don't use a fake name. That can cause all kinds of problems for you. For example if it's sent by registered airmail and you're not home to sign for it then it goes to the post office. Then you'll have to present your "Seymour Butts" I.D. to retrieve your package. If you can't prove its your package, your gear now belongs to the post office.

Just use your real name, and make sure you read through your sources shipping policies to see how they deal with seizures. In most cases you don't have to worry about seizure. But it does occasionally happen. LE cares about the sources, not you.
