Lance Armstrong gave in and told Oprah he used doping. I dont understand why people attack athletes. If u had to bike 50 miles a day , you would be on drugs too. If people are so concerned of making everything "all natural" and "no cheating" then fucked start an all natural sector of all sports and put them on an "all natural" TV channel and see how many people watch. 90% of all professional Athletes have used and are using AAS and other performance enhancing drugs. I dont understand it, most exciting things about sports happen because of those athletes are on AAS or drugs, but when we find out they are on drugs , we crucify them. It makes me sick, today i ran into one of these I am always and will be "all natural" and i dont like steroids stupid fucks at the gym and guess who he praises movie stars like Stallone , and Arnold, and Dwayne johnson. Fucken ridiculous, idiots like that push me over the top.

I remember having a slanging match with gothic and grrrll a while back about armstrong and drug use etc.
It was along the lines of armstrong was a cheat and cadel evans is a true champion as he won clean.
As proud americans they obviously stood for armstrong and I as a proud OZ stood up for cadel. Ive lost my train of thought here but the whole armstrong conspircay is the biggest blight on international sport in history

He steered clear of the big sports media. I lost a shit ton of respect for him simply for lying. I thought he had testicular cancer and having testicles removed TRT was a part of treatment. I know man lance was loved by America a few years ago poor guy he fucking earned all those trophy's they took I feel bad for him and I really wish he wouldn't have given in. I think pro sports would be boring as watching paint dry without aas I mean all these NFL player are faster, stronger and weigh about a 100 pounds more then they did 10 years ago. No point in watching a team full of 120 pound dudes trying to tackle each other.
AnonTheres a part of me that wishes people were more open about this underground culture. Theres a lot of ignorance and false judgement that is passed, if people only knew that every one of their heroes is on something then perhaps there wouldnt be such an outcry. Its just unfair and unreasonable the way the public can turn on a beloved figure as soon as the smallest bit of dirt comes out.

lol its more confusing that he confessed, i dont even tell my closest friends that i juice , and this guy told the whole world and he is also going to tell on his teammates about who was also juicing and doping. that blows my mind why he is stirring up shit for him and others
CleyonThat's the part that pisses me off. He can tell anyone he wants about his usage, but when he starts ratting out his teammates I lose all respect for the man.
Honestly if I were him my statement would read something like this:
"Yes, during my professional career I used Performance Enhancing Drugs (PEDs), as did every single one of the top tier riders at the Tour de France. None of us use these drugs as a crutch, or because we didn't have the "God given talent", we used these drugs because they allowed us to train harder, and push our bodies to the absolute limits. For society to be so obsessed about these drugs being cheated, well maybe we should go back to riding steel bicycles, or stop using Lycra, Carbon Fiber, and all of the other new materials that have allowed us to become faster.
You demand that we get faster every year, just like you demand runners to get faster, baseball plays to hit the ball harder, and long jumpers to jump further. At what point do you think that we reach the limit of what is possible without pharmacology coming into play? When the technology becomes available for people to change their genetics so that they can do all of this without pharmaceuticals what will you do?
I am still proud of my achievements, I performed at the highest levels imaginable, with other athletes that had access to and used the same PEDs I did. My outlook on this is, really did anyone honestly believe he was not using some type of performance enhancing drug. I always thought he was and that him and his team were just really smart at what they did in hiding it. As is anything if you continue to do something wrong for long enough and someone cares you will eventually get caught, so he denied it for 10 years now there is overwhelming evidence and he is now coming clean.
fuck it infuriates me how badly flamed he is getting throughout world wide media. People with not a signal bit of knowledge into steroids are being parroted to and basically brainwashed into thinking the worst of Lance.
The man donated that much money into assisting those with cancer.
I applaud Lance for Laying it all out. Why should he be threatened? He enhanced his body to perform to the best of his ability and excel in a sport that he loved.
He wasn't Cooking up Heroin on a fucking spoon at a childs playground...

I have always felt that at a certain point no matter what you "legally" do you cannot become better. It is no coincidence that since steroids were developed and doping started that records have increased year by year. Plus cyclists have been the poster children of doping starting in the beginning of the tour de france taking speedballs (heroine and coke). Yeah so maybe we should just sit back and watch people make the human race look good, not whine about drugs.

I think lance made a good point on one of the shows I was watching where he said it doesnt matter if they strip him of the Tour de France titles because the people that came in 2nd know what they were on as well..

Livestrong made their single highest earnings the day after Lance Armstrong was kicked out, and the Tour de France is getting huge publicity. Everyone is making hand-over-fist money for this controversy, and in court that will show, and he wont pay anything. Or, it'll be a hell of lot less.

well, having been in the sport, I can tell you that everyone dopes and that governing bodies surpress the latest testing technologies in order for everyone to "pass." It is quite ridiculous that he even had to "confess" although I d like to see those guys that were here last year saying that Lance never used EPO or anything to enhance his performance.. they swore up and down that that the sport of cycling was ALL natural ..lol..
I think it was a mistake though .. I doubt the death threats will cease and desist now that he has told all and I wonder what he is going to get out of it besides an enditement or two .. has to be another reason in my opinion. He has to gain something from it.

For one of the Tour de France races if you had to give his medals to the next opponent who wasn't accused or found to have been doping in their career you'd have to give it to the guy who came in 23rd.
