Laid off
ad
Never have I been this stressed before looking for a good job. I have enough funds for about 2 months but the mental toll it has taken on me has worn me down. Not eating not going to the gym unmotivated to clean up the house and my car. It's been over a week of sending out resumes to about 80 different companies. It's tough I am a wreck mentally right now. Don't get too comfortable and lose sight of what you have it can all be taken away and crush your entire life in many aspects just like that. I am trying to regroup myself just find it hard to do anything. Tough shit

epcfitnessGood news guys finally landed a job at a very popular and well known casino in the area. It's extremely hard to get in but once you complete your 90 day probation period you are free to move around and apply to other positions as you wish. Had my background check and drug testing done, I hope by the end of this week everything will be good to go and I can start work. I'm real tight financially real tight I cut off the cycle I was on due to not being able to afford the food for it. Missing my ground beef patty with cheese on top with my eggs in the morning alongside ezekiel bread for now it's pretty much just eggs for breakfast nice and affordable... My physique is not even a priority right now until I get things straight. Have not trained consistently for a while now and I will only start it back up when everything is in order. The way I see it is if my diet isn't up to par then training becomes a waste of time. Just want to let you guys know when I was real down and I mean feeling awful every comment I read really made me feel better and had me feeling optimistic something I did not feel for weeks ever since I was laid off. I appreciate you guys sharing your comments and stories it really made me feel better. Thank you!
I came off cycle for same reason. been laid off several times myself over the years, it gets better! at least thats what i believe even though I have been in shit knee deep for the past 8 months!
Congratulations epic. casino that sounds like a good job happy for you man things are looking up you will be back in the gym and eating that ezekiel bread in no time lol.
I know its hard brother in similar situation just keep your head up epic I know it will get better.
That's the worst feeling brother, I'm sorry to hear that. I lost my job before and ended up going back to school, now I have an even better job in the medical field. Sometimes shit happens for a reason, but you end up in a better situation, "thinking why didn't this shit happen sooner. "
Wow brother that sucks ass man...
Back about maybe 3yrs ago when shit hit the fan in the states, I got it to right where it hurts...
I lost damn near almist every thing I had... I was a collector of Hotwheels/cars and had to sell the all to keep a float... Hang in there man it will fall the way its suppose to... What's the odds you live bye me??? Prolly not that good, but I'm a union steward for the rail yard and could hook you up... Family here like it was said earlier. . .
I don't know where you're located at but where I live manufacturing has made a serious come back. I see this first hand because of the type of job I have. I go to a lot of different companies and they're constantly asking me to send people their way or stating that they can't find anyone that wants to work. These jobs range from bottom of the barrel to upper middle class in pay scale. So hang in there and your job now is to find a job and you're a good worker than you'll be alright. If you have to put in 8 hours a day than it's only a matter of time..... Good luck bro!
Ahh man. I think a lot of people can relate. But, one thing I do know. For sure, no matter what. Tuff times do not last. Tuff people do. Just keep knocking on doors and one will open. U might land the job of you're dreams. Who knows. Good luck pal. And don't b so hard on yourself
Keep your head up bro don't lose Confidence. Finding a job takes time. You'll get it. I've been there. Shit I've been there 4 times in 3 years. Lol. Stressing never helped. Stay cool and good things will come.
Best wishes on your job hunting keep your head up brother. This moment will pass and you'll be a stronger/wiser person for it
Sorry to hear that. I had a friend lose a job recently and she really blew me away with her approach to job hunting. She got up everyday and got ready for work, then went out and handed in resumes/apps she had a new job with in two weeks. Good luck!
Really sorry to hear that brother. I've been in similar situation some time ago and know exactly how stressful it is. Be strong and don't give up. We bodybuilders have some qualities that other people lack such ad determination, confidence, discipline and not being afraid of hard work. Stay positive and everything will sort out.
Good luck
Sorry to hear this it happened to me a couple years ago everything was going great and out of the blue 2 weeks before Christmas boom we gotta lay you off!! Keep your head up you'll find something soon.
ive been there man. an with my background it was not easy. but, don't give up or give in things will come together.
Good luck bro! Keep your head up and remember it'll be ok everything happens for a reason. Where here as a family to talk to
