James Bond Your Computer.
So most of you average Joes prob want to know how to secure your computer just a tad bit more.
To test and see if you need it click here> https://www.dnsleaktest.com/
if it tells you where your at and its right, Congrats so does a lot of other people.
If it doesn't tell you and it said your like in china or something Good Job you passed.
First thing is get a VpN can never go wrong with it. if you have a fav. browser you like to use. and dont want to use Tor browser https://www.torproject.org/projects/torbrowser.html.en cause its slow and everything you can go with these guys https://www.privateinternetaccess.com/ easy to use and affordable.
If you want to make a key for your computer using a flash drive, where it only turns on if you have the thumb drive (aka flash drive aka USB drive) plugged in, Download this little bad boy of a application and follow the directions, pretty simple. http://www.predator-usb.com/predator/en/index.php?n=Main.HomePage
and there you go little more secured than you were before or thought you were.
Of course there is some more advance things you can do. but for the average Joe you'll be alright.

Betternet works good
Thank you! I will look into that.
I think it's $40 a year I pay for private Internet access.I believe there were instructions for Mac installation also.
small price to pay for protection.
Agreed. I paid $6.99 I think it was and was subscribed for one month. Before that first month was over I upgraded to a year. My internet provider was giving me shit sending me emails saying I was downloading movies. Big bother always trying to be in my business!
lol yeah, we pay for the internet we should be able to do what we want with it.
I'm assuming this is all PC only? I've had a hard time finding quality software like this for Macs... :/
Here you go bud this company does cool stuff and even has a Bluetooth device key http://www.meruko.com/usb-lock all mac
Interesting, I will definitely give this a look!
Vpn can be for mac to.
I didn't really think about mac cause I don't use it(sorry about that went over my head). I do know the vpn is mac compatible. They have separate instructions.
I'll look into other things for mac users and see if they have software similar to the USB key and all that.
I'm not too worried about the USB as it would end up being quite the hassle for me, but I do appreciate you looking into it. I used to be a lot more secure when I would run windows, usually because they come accompanied with a lot more problems. I do have an encrypted drive so unless someone has those access keys, they can't get in anyway. I will give the VPN a look, as the .Tor browser is agonizingly slow.
This is awesome, thanks for the info!
Yup np cdyrdes
Good info. Now I need to actually do if and not forget what I just read lol.
lol its quick and painless for the little extra security iron.
RustyhookerNice!!
Got to be safe around this neighborhood even if your a average Joe.
