It maybe time to lay off the shit when...

ad

So guys for the first time In my life I feel like my gear use is getting obvious and it's making me paranoid. This week I had three comments made to me that made me a little uncomfortable.. At work one of the other employees jokingly said " hey old head was that roid rage. " Then today one of the parents of a player on my football team chuckled and said , " you need to get these kids on them steroids, haha." During the same game the ref I've known for 3 years says, "damn man, I need what you take lol. " Of course in all 3 cases I just chuckled and said , that's funny. So have you guys ever felt like this way?

Turn a Deaf Ear......Do you think Jay cutler or Phil Heath feel weird when they get asked those questions? Nope.....

I've been accused of being on gear since I was 16. I laugh it off most of the time, or just say that its not my fault I'm genetically superior.

Agreed...when you eat, you get bigger.... That is what I was always told when I said I need to grow. The best thing is, when people compliment another individual about how they look, it is a positive compliment. Only the haters that are jealous have something snide to say.

Now, if they start asking, you aren't doing those steroids, are you? I always tell them, "eating is the proper way to grow, holding yourself in a positive nitrogen balance is completely different." Then they look at me kinda' weird and don't know how to respond. The less I look at myself in the mirror, the better off I am in the long run, in my opinion. I will be growing and not even see it happening, if I am constantly looking and analyzing how my body building is working to improve my overall physique.

Next time they ask you that just say," You want to get big like me,ill train you, pay me." Typically when they refer to you taking roids its a compliment, but in a negative way, because it takes away from the fact that you bust your ass in the gym, day in and day out.Its amazing how people think you can sit on your ass and get big with steroids alone, such as misconception. I have heard it all for instance," damn bro, can you wipe your own ass," and " is that your little brothers shirt?". Its all a way of complementing you in one way or another. You have to determine if there being vindictive or just joking. I laugh it all up and just reply to them "beast mode bro", or " dont hate me because you aint me." Stupid replies but, no need to get paranoid.

Awesome response....

Thanks, I used to bounce at a local rodeo bar at the hardrock and walking to the club other bouncers would say " Juice,Juice". I wouldnt give them eye contact, in my head I would be like" Hell yea, they notice."

Smile I'm sure those guys are all outta shape, big belly, middle aged guys who haven't seen the inside of a gym since gym class back in high school!

Ive had it a bit at work, I just laught it off and mention the amount of food it takes to maintain muscles or whatever comes to mind. As long as I know I'm never going to chat about gear and using it, that works for me. I plan on bouncing on them about Dec/Jan to concentrate on training, so they can go fuck! happy days soon.

they are obviosly tell u this because ur either showing off ur muscles too much or wearing tight shirts. u make them feel bad about them selves and it creates tension and they end up saying shit like that which reflects on what they are really feeling inside. either wear bigger shirts or just come back at em with something nice to embarress their insecurity like "hey ur not so bad too, ur almost bigger then me" or some bs like that.. or u can just rub it in their faces who cares, ur bigger then all of them

MedDx's picture

Most definitely....lol...I have used this on several occasions...it works too. They always feel better about themselves later on. I can just see them now when they get home doing pushup, maybe starting a workout routine. Reverse psychology works in positive ways. Good post!!

Fuck'em that's my reply.... I get it all the time and I chalk it up to Haterade.. You can't be a beast without haters my friend.. You know where you want to get & you put the work in.. The average Joe Plain is snacking on a Big Mac for lunch and lasagna for dinner while we down shakes and put in two hours a day at the gym.. They are going assume anyway cause they are too lazy to get it in!

Cycle smart and go hard!

NycGrrrrrr is out..

I got my first you look like your on gear comment the other day. It was from the dr I to to for suboxone. I see him 2x per year, and I just started gear in January. So this was the second time he'd seen me on gear and he knew what was up. I just played it off with a "man that's a compliment if you think I look like I'm on something". My gains haven't been super freakish, but then again I'm only halfway through cycle #2.

Anyone who is bigger than a pencil and works out is on steroids. You did not know that, haha.

You'll find a level where you don't get a great deal bigger, just better composition of that mass, which is when it's much easier to hide under clothes. I'm only 10lbs heavier than I was 3 years ago, it's just what my weight is made up of has changed fairly significantly.

People that know me / work with me never say anything as they see how much time I invest into my training and eating big and clean. My diet is a standing joke with my friends and family.

Where I do hear occassional comments tend to be people I haven't seen in some time. The other one is kids, often hear things like "why's your dad that big etc". Kids are so honest!

Make a joke out of it. "I'm a gym addict, you should try it", "have you seen how much food I eat?" Etc.

I guess I'm not big enough yet.... Lol my daughter is a senior and cheers football and basketball. The high schools kids think I'm big. They think I look like the rock but I can tell you I'm a long ways away from being his size. Last year I dropped almost 40 lbs and one of the parents said its funny you say you're getting smaller but it looks like you're getting bigger...... The real goal is to be a trophy husband..... Lol

Darktide's picture

That is meant to happen buddy! I mean look at the changes. My guys in my unit said the same things, I just told them that as I get older my balls get bigger while theirs get lower, thus the extra hormones :).

So guys for the first time In my life I feel like my gear use is getting obvious and it's making me paranoid.

You paranoid that is way out of character for you :P. Plus if people knew you when you were heavy and out of shape the cliche joke to anyone nowadays is "you are on steroids."

The good thing is for you old wealthy guys is HGH &TRT clinics are the new fad so I would have no problem dropping that I am a client of one of those. Especially because I am, but even if I wasn't that would be my go to cover story.
