+ 2 In YOUR Opinion
ad
Hi All.
I'm currently having a discussion about the Top Bodybuilders of our time.
IN MY OPINION, my top 5 picks are:
1 Arnold Schwarzenegger. Besides his many accomplishments within competitions, he was a cornerstone in putting PROFESSIONAL Bodybuilding in the public eye.
2 Lee Haney. First competitor to win 8 Olympia titles and in successive years too. 1984-1991
3 Ronnie Coleman. Only the second competitor to win 8 Olympia titles, also in succession. 1998-2005
4 Dorian Yates. 6 time Olympia winner, again in successive years. 1992-1997. It was ONLY through injuring his bicep that caused Dorian's retirement from competition and I'm sure from obtaining a couple more Olympia titles too.
5 Jay Cutler. Love him or hate him, you have to recognize the fact that after winning the Olympia titles in 2006-07 and placing second in 2008, he successfully returned in 2009 to take the title again and maintain his hold on the title in 2010. Again, through an injury sustained to his left bicep, he still obtained second place in 2011.
My Top 5 picks and NOT just because they've won the top prize in our sport. My top picks are also built on what they've accomplished outside of the gym too.
So in YOUR Opinion? Do you agree/disagree with my choices?

Im a HUGE DY fan! That being said, Arnold did alot for BBing but he is overrated in my eyes.
Yes Mike Mentzer would be number 6 on my list. I see the younger guys don't mind the growth hormone belly. Even Dorian had it. Ronnie Coleman had such a huge gut if he didn't hold it in. Not my ideal bodybuilder.
Flex Wheeler, Ronnie Coleman, Kevin Levrone, Arnie, Bob Cicherillo lol
Hmm cant forget serge nubret. He had an awesome physique. As mentioned sergio oliva was an absolute animal. Although not the biggest but one of the most complete bodybuilders of all time Mike Mentzer. As for the most ripped guy and the hardest I personaly think you cant go past Andreas Munzer,
I REALLY appreciate everyones input on this topic.
And it's AWESOME to see that many of the original LEGENDS have not been forgotten.
Thank you ALL. Thank you.
Anondamn.. you are sexist.. what about the women?
Only one that can seriously be counted.
Lady GRRRL.
naguib123i dont know if i could respect Arnold after he became a politician. I would definitely say
1) dorian yates
2) Markus Ruhl
3) Lou ferrigno
4) branch warren
5) Larry Scott
Arnold...obviously. Lou ferrigno...gave Arnold the run AND returned to stage at 312lbs. Franco Columbu. Shawn Ray...always competetive. Albert Beckles.....competed into Gpa age and was still bigger than many pros.
1-Sergio Oliva. The year he won the Olympia uncontested and the next year he beat Arnold is I think the most impressive powerful looking of all time. 2- Arnold 1975. That was his best year. 3- Frank Zane. Pure muscle poetry. 4- Serge Nubret. Any photo of him in shape is insane.5- Bill Pearl. Power personified. You can tell I am old school. Just can't like the growth hormone dissended belly
The red is cool. You're just like goth but without the all caps.
I guess I disagree with your top 5. Even though I want to be large as a house I prefer the physiques of Larry Scott, Frank Zane, Samir Bannout, Bob Paris, and Dexter Jackson.
1 = Markus Ruhl
How the hell I did that in red is beyond me. Still, looks good though
Anonyou put the symbol for number before the beginning of each comment
Thank you for the heads up.
