how much is enough for customs to bounce?

theres a international source doing a killer sale right now. now i plan on getting 10 prop. i vials wont set off any major alarms. but theres a killer deal on tbol for 10 pouches too. now thats 1000 pills. 1000 pills is a lot no matter which way you look at it. could this be enough to get more than just a letter.

very interesting topic! i enjoyed reading everyone's feedback. that's a good question, at what point do they draw the line and say this is enough and sieze/arrest.... i would assume only enough for manufacturing and distributing at a large(r) scale, but you never know who they might set an example out of.

i hear you though. its not about the amount itself or spending the right amount of money on the investigation, its whether they find enough materials to think you are dealing/manufacturing, etc. and decide that a letter is being too nice. From what i know (and this is purely based on anecdotal evidence like the lexx raid and documentaries, looking to see how much shit is in the pack when they bust someone on cops or popular shows with raids, etc) that it wouldnt be enough. Youd probably still get a letter. I would think that raws in large qtys, pill making supplies, stuff like that would set off some red flags but in manufacturing qtys. These qtys still seem to me like personal long term stash or friends and family qtys. You cant hold me to this and im no expert but im pretty observant and this would be my educated guess.
I just had ten vials sent to me. Along with 800 pills but it made it through just fine. But I'm thinking that's like what? Maybe a g at most? It would cost em more money to set u up and open an investigation. Say they put two guys on your case at 10$ hour and they spend 100hours(4 days) getn everything ready that's 2000$ alone in man hours. Not cost effective ya know.
i dont think they look at it like that bro. how many times have cops spent countless hours of man power booking some kid on a bag of weed. plus 1,000 count of any controlled substance is enough to get your self a serious bid,
Alot of the time it's by pure chance people actually get busted when its smaller amounts of "personal use". But your right a 1000 of any controlled substance is alot but you could prolly pull that off as personal use. One of my neighbors is the head detective of narcotics investigations in our county and he told me that they won't take the time out there day to open am investigation unless they are moving serious weight or are a threat to the community. Most people get caught up from other people getn caught and being willing to narc by wearing a wire and setting up meets. In which the gov doesn't have to pay a dime to get that person and several others out away. Just from the info I collected as an actual offender of distribution lol.
