How does a mass spec test work?

I see the percentage of purity work i.e. 91% etc, does this mean for example a product that is claimed 100mg/ml is at 91 MG?

Be aware that some of the sources already did this conversion for you. So if it says 100mg/ml you actually getting that amount per miligram and nothing less.

91% purity means that out of 100mg of powder 91mg is the actual hormone, the other 9%are inert fillers
Heliosoh ok, so the part in my post was correct.
was just talking to a source and he had 81% mass spec but claimed his 100 mg product was "overdosed" this must be impossible? apparently it was around 110mg/ml but tested only at around 80% purity
Well there I a difference between total weight in solution and the purity of that hormone...so if someone mixes 125mg of compound in solution and the raw is 80%pure there will still be 100mg of the actual hormone

Yes but mass spectrometry isolates molecular weight...so it's easy to tell what weight the oil is in relation to the raw powder
Heliosthere was a source posting 99% raw powder purity, mass spec came out to be 84%, what was that about? did they cheapskate the amount of powder in oil?
If the spec says 84% then that's the purity..:purity and Dosage are completely different

The mass spec also determines if it's doses correctly.
With tht being said anything above 80% is actually pretty good
Heliosmight as well spend an extra hundo and get the 91% lol
