Health Insurance
ad
Hi guys,
I'd like to share my thoughts about this subject. I've seen recently many guys on gear without having a health insurance. I know the reality about it can change a lot from country to country. In some place you may have to pay a little fortune for it while in other places it would be more accessible or even a public service.
But the point in my opinion is DOES IT WORTH THE RISK?
I think it's a terrible idea to run any kind of performance-enhancing substance without being covered. I'm not only talking about having bloodwork and check ups from time to time. It's really about the risk of something goes terribly bad.
I WOULDN'T TAKE THE RISK!
What do you guys think of it?

Lucky for me my TRT doc is like a buyers club. You see him any time you need for no extra charge, bloodwork is only 70 dollars. He drafts my account 40 dollars a month like a gym payment. He is a Dr of internal medicine but acts as my GP as well. There are certain things he will not get involved in like pain management and such, but I dont have that problem so it works out and much cheaper than having health insurance. Now if I need a liver transplant I'm fucked! I also have catastrophic coverage in case of car wreck and such.
This is flirting with political so don't be surprised when it disappears
I pay around 250 for just myself but friends of mine that have family's pay 1000.00+
Monthly or yearly?
I had an investment professor tell me that the first thing anyone should ever do is get some type of health insurance, even if it's just catistrodic insurance. Reason being, one accident or serous illness when you don't have insurance can ruin you financially. That's always stuck with me.
It's such a scam in the US. My wife was paying 14 dollars a month for her plan through her work, then we got married and to add me it went up to 792 dollars a month. How is that a fair increase? Sucks but it's necessary.
Same here my wife pays pennies she went to add me so I was double covered and they wanted me to pay 500 out of pocket a month Jesus Christ man talk about women having more privilege I added my wife to my insurance and guess what she was free
I have health insurance and rarely ever go to the doctors. But absolutely I think health insurance is a must because anything could happen to you, on or off steroids...
Very good point...
It's very important independently of being on or off steroids
At $1200 a month, I and my family are priced out of health insurance. So we have not a choice in the matter. I have a saving account that I use for medical expenses. I had insurance before Obama care that I have never in my life met the deductible. So I say Fukk it.
1200?!?! Really?!
Can't you get a family discount or something like that?
Yep, that 1200$ would be on low side for a family plan....
I work for the gvmt, and part of our salary is made up by health insurance premiums, ...this past yr the total for my family health insurance premium was $35,542.00......3k per month! ....granted it's a100% covered, but still fucking outrageous! ...this is the ONLY reason I havnt fully retired
That would be the family discount.
Health care via the Affordable Healthcare Act is not affordable.
I see... I don't have much idea of how it works in US to be honest... cause I'm in europe
But it's not cheap either. I pay about $300 monthly plus 10% of every single bill untill $1000 (per year). It's a crazy maths they do here...
yep, Obama care for you.. We are in a gap where we don't qualify for any discounts. and can't afford to pay for it. Obama care also got rid of catastrophic insurance.
$1,200?! Wtf. I pay $220 so I would NEVER risk going without it. even if I had 500 K in my savings, I would still want to because medical bills could easily go over that.
yep that's crazy shit. Me, my wife and 2 kids.
