geneology - ancestry

ad

I was at one side of in-laws family reunion not to long ago and they had the family ancestry printed out and displayed. It was really cool. I was debating doing the same for my family. I know where we came but don't know the middle before my family came across the pond. Anyway have any of you used ancestry dot com or similar? What did ya think? My wife says I don't have time but in a the free part I easily found records up to my great grandparents whom I didn't even know their names very quick. Let me know your thoughts.

I started to do the ancestry.com thing and like your wife my husband said ..and where are you going to find time for this amongst all you do. Well i wanted to see what i could find...i started..and ummmmm yeah that time thing...got in my way. I did though get some AWESOME background info and books and papers etc from my grandmother....the only one who kept all this stuff, and now i have it! Very interesting to find my origin roots. But now all that info i have still sits on a shelf and i have yet to look back on ancestry.com.

Sorta figured. Her family recently went to their country of origin to a very small town of less than 600 and that country helped immensely and now have their history to the 1700's. I of course could only think that 600 people their must have been some major inbreeding lol but anyway thanks!
