anyone ever pass out in the gym after a hard set? I have not yet ,but came close many times. I usually will hold on to something when I feel it coming.

Yeah mostly when I do legs. Its usually lack of oxygen to brain. Try to breathe more. Keep moving and breathing.
not yet, but the other day i was finishing up a brutal shoulder workout hitting some traps, and i had to sit down for a second. my buddy asked me for some straps to do a set, so as i was handing him my straps i gave him my left one and said "this is the right," then gave him my right one saying "this is the left." he laughed and said "your backwards." i looked at him confused and said "no dude this arm is the right" holding up my left arm "and this arm is the left" holding up my right arm. thats when he asked me if i was ok, i came back to realization after that point, and knew i had a brief moment of utter confusion.
At least you knew it was an arm, Mate LOL
Glad it was just a brief moment though ;)
I've come very close on many occasions. I was into running and sprints but nothing compares to a heavy ass superset where those dark spots appear. The worst is when it's so bad that a walk to the other side of the gym seems like too much. Had that today when I was super setting DB presses and T-bar rows lol.
Just for giggles:
I was doing leg extentions today with 110lbs repping out to exhaustion and when I went to step of the machine my legs just did the, 'Jelly Walk Wabble'.
Made a few lifters stop what they were doing and crease up with laughter watching me trying to grab a hold of a machine before I hit the deck. (One even fell over a bench, he was laughing so much. A**e)
The other day I was doing leg curls. When I stood up I bent my leg just like I was doing a rep. My hamstring instantly locked up on me. It hurt like hell and took me about 6mins to straighten my leg . The fun world of bodybuilding
I'm a little relieved to see I'm not the only one that almost passes out.
Now, THAT, I can imagine wasn't a nice experience and one I'm sure you're not going to forget in a hurry either, Mate.
AnonDude I've done the SAME thing don't feel bad! luckily there was another machine right next to me and I caught myself before I even started to go down lolll
LOL.
Thank the Lord for the gym designer, I say, Mate.
LOL
AnonHigh rep squats... I've had to sit down multiple times for fear of legit passing out but thus far it hasn't happened. Definitely got blurred vision and seen some white though!
Never passed out, have seen stars and got wobbly after heavy squats or DB Bench Press. Get up and have to hold onto something.
I have had a Golgi Tendon response once when doing DB lunges, NOT FUN! The muscle just shuts off. Dropped hard to the knee, confused, like what the hell was that?
Leg press always get me, I was seeing stars last week after my 3rd set of it.
Here is a good pass out video

Medically it's a vaso-vagle responce. It's a responce to internal pressures from stoppef breathing and rapid change in blood pressures. It can happen to anyone. Emt's see it often in old folks bearing down to make a bowel movement. In tatt shops I've seen folks flop holding breath and bearing down hard. Breathing correctly in the gym is key as if this happens during a press....you May get squashed. I probably spelled it wrong as my emt's were completed long ago.
Ive seen the bright lights a time or two but yet to kiss the floor. It always happens on leg day.
Same here max. Leg day does it. I like to call it "the zone". When you get the first 3 or 4 reps on squats and then kind of black out and somehow get 10 more. Never actually passed out but see alot of red
nope but have spewed a total of 5 times, 4 on leg days 1 on arm day lol. I have learned to time my post workout meals allot beter now.
I clicked on this initially because I had read "farting" LOL
Had it happen to me during dead lifts after my final set; didn't fade all the way out but my vision went black and I dropped to my knees because I couldn't stand
you can talk about farting too if you want
yeah I hate when the shit happens. I always think I might fall and bust my teeth out or some shit
TxBigBoy2 days ago I got pretty close after a big set on decline bench. I've been taking it easy the past month cause of my elbow and decided to go some what heavy cause I was feeling good. Stood up and my eyes were bloodshot and definitely felt light headed. Luckily there was a fan right next to me so I just took a step over and draped myself over it.
thats when mine comes on most often is decline or anything that im bending over. preacher curls sometimes too.I think its from my chest being resticted against it
TxBigBoyYup alL that blood flow to the head gets me every time
No but same here...especially on legs day. Or after a stupid weekend of drinking then it happens with any body part..lol
