The officers had come to the home of Christopher Torres on an arrest warrant issued the month before. They said he was armed and shot him in the back as they wrestled on the ground.
Torres' parents, Stephen and Renatta Torres, say he was holding a broomstick, which he laid down when police approached. They sued police, and a judge awarded them $6 million in a civil judgment, saying the police testimony was "not credible."
The Albuquerque district attorney, Kari Brandenburg, cleared the two officers in the Torres killing. She has cleared every other police officer involved in a killing during her last 13 years in office.

I saw that this morning on live leak. Unbelievable! If that ain't full blown murder I don't know what is. They said he had the ability to flip his cuffs around to the front and because he was a bodybuilder they were scared. Big problem with that is being bulked out with muscle we would NEVER have the flexibility required to basically dislocate out shoulders to perform that maneuver. No way!

Hell they both could have tasered him... sprayed him with pepper spray, billy club etc.. straight to cold blooded murder, and since they knew he was a problem already they should've had more CO's to escort him or the Doom Squad aka Riot CO's. I used to freak out about how Great Britain had cameras all over the damn place but you know, it isn't just to protect people from crime, especially here in the states, it is protection from the police.
