I'm 25 and go to college after serving in the military, feels good to be older. Lookin jacked next to dem skinny 18 year old boys too.

Not going to lie when I started school after the military i felt out of place, my buddy told me I looked like Billy Madison. It took me a while to adjust and I did run into some ultra hippies who hated the fact that I didnt have to pay for school. A little advise, find some vets at the school they will help you adjust and wont give a shit if you never served. What school is it? Most school have a veterans group, if you want I can dig around and point you in that direction.

32 is not old on campus anymore...its not the 90's!

Got a buddy who's 36...he's joined a fraternity and is taking part in social activities. The young bucks do look up to him and the chicks dig him and he's getting it done. He is enjoying the college life. Craziest stuff...I wouldn't have believe it, if I didn't see it, but more power to him. I think the fact that he does hip hop choreography helps him to connect...he can be comfortable with much younger people. Maybe the lesson is don't apologize for being the "old guy" and just go with it.

Use your life experiences and take advantage of being the big man on campus. Own it brother. The fact that you are not married gives you free reign to meet as many females as possible. Because after college it's not that simple to see and meet from the variety of females you have on a college campus. So don't think of being the "old guy" on campus. You're like wine. The more you age, the better you get.

Bro I am almost 47 I STARTED my college journey at 28. The thing you have over the kids is LIFE. You have lived life been there done that got the t-shirt. Go on campus BE the cock of the walk and you will have more coeds throwing it you than you know what to do with!! If all goes accordingly I will be starting school fall of 2014. Need another year of work, benefits and have my first kid on the way. I'll be 29 when I start and honestly that's probably for the best, not sure how I would have faired any younger. Looking forward to starting school and getting out of the oil field myself. LOL! What do you expect? You think you will be the only guy there over thirty? In this economy everybody is going back to school. Just enjoy the view and have fun! It will get old after a while! I think it is great that you are pursuing a degree. I myself was a non-traditional student and I can say it was worth it.
