AnonIts over..1 more week till everything goes back to normal..thank fuk!
My one and only arrest (w/ conviction) is from New Years eve 1999. I like to stay in on that night these days
ONE and only conviction...lol, you're lucky. I hear ya though, if that was my sole conviction stemming from a NYE, then I would stay locked in too
I have several arrests but only one conviction. In other words I had a good lawyer. :-)
Those days are long behind me.
HAHA...I hear ya on 'those days'! Never again for me...I know they say never say never, but I am not superstitious. One trip to the house and I'm good, lol.
now im not much of a partier anymore. but i have bottle service, sleazy women, and a 36 hour warehouse party in my near future.
GearofWarIt's a drinker's holiday to me, and I'm not a drinker. The wife and I usually will stay up to watch the ball drop. My kids are too young to know what's going on. I really can't stomach Ryan Seacrest so even the ball drop is sort of spoiled for me. It is a nice reason to have a day off from work too. My gym is open New Years Day so I'll be there bright and early.
Its just another day on the calendar.. Ill be home watching Tv and spotting the loonies in Times Square....or in bed sleeping. If I was to bet..i'd say..Ill be sleeping..:)
about the only thing i find exciting about it is I get to tell my kids that I made it through yet another end of the world experience! and its fun to read about all the idiots that went to jail. ill be in bed come the new year!
Anonand all the idiots that will go to jail the night of new years...just another reason for people to get drunk and act like buffoons
lol and there are so many idiots
In my early to mid twenties, New Years was the shit...I would take Mecca-like journeys to some pretty wild places and party my ass off. But not anymore...I am now in my earlier thirties and sobered up, so I even go to bed before midnight and get up and go to work on new years day or hit the gym. Alcohol and drugs make me feel like absolute garbage anymore and I can not even believe how I used to operate like I did ten years ago. Times change for the better in that respect...I wasted alotta time and money on some pretty stupid shit...granted there was some pretty good times and I have some great memories, but it's all the past now and I really don't care about a New Year party or anything like that...cause it is just another day on a calendar of life.
AnonI also had the same experience, but I used to get so fucked up on drugs and alcohol I would forget what happened that night... whats the use of enjoying a night if you cant even remember it
I had a few of those nights...NOT on New Years though, wake up and hear stories of shit you did, etc....kinda embarassing and pathetic at times.
not when it was you beat the shit out of some bad dude or banged some bad ass bitch. but that was rarely the story i got back! LOL
Anon1 story I remember in particular.. I went up to the biggest hairiest dude in the bar and said to him "One time I fucked a bear, I think you are my son" he then beat my ass... I was told that the next morning, awesome buddies I had, they could have stopped me
HAHAHA...same here, more like "I DID WHAT?!?!?! TELL ME I DIDN'T FUCK THAT GIRL!?!?! SHIT...."
LMAO...still some good memories though
Anonnope...mine was always "you talked shit to the biggest dude in the bar and he knocked you the fuck out" or "goddamn that girl you took home last night was nasty"
we used to play this game and pitch in some cash and the winner got the cash, we called it hogging and the guy that got the biggest girl to go home with him won the pot! funny ass shit!
Anonomg...my younger buddies still play that game
Anonmine were usually new years, b day, and Halloween (one Halloween I made the paper during a riot and I climbed up a light pole, now every Halloween they grease the poles in this certain location ha)
StevebI'm just glad Christmas is over
Ya new years blows only time i look to now is march 27th. that's my twin girls bday and mines the 28th. i may only be 22,but i've already blown to much money on drinking and went from 1 drink to i must spend at least 30 bucks a night. So new years will be my biggest test as i broke my sober time last night. So today I start over and my goal is to become sober again and save all those dollar bills for my kids college fund plus what i put back yearly already.
I don't drink often (maybe twice a year) and I don't hang out with party ppl anymore. I have 2 small kids who want to try and stay up for new years. Other than that, I couldn't possibly care less
same here bro about 2 times a year but after i do i just regret it
AnonIn all the years of celebrating new years I can honestly count the remarkable ones on one hand. The majority of them left me asking my self "WTF am I doing". Now at my age Id spend at the least all of new years day recovering from a hard new years night, and I have decided its not woth it.
Now if my wife came to me and said, lets get a hooker and an 8 ball, I might change my mind ;)
Man the older I get, the more prevalent my seasonal affective disorder crap bugs me. I've really started to dislike this time of year in general. Plus I just got used to writing 2012 on my checks.
Stay home shit . Plus tues back day deadlifts and t bar rows ,pull ups and close grip pull downs . Have you ever experience lat cramps best feeling hurts to wipe your ass but in the end your back becomes nice and thick.
same here kinda
I'm like you, not that fussed about new year. Used to do more when I was young free and single, but once you're married with kids etc its nit such a big deal. I can't be doing with having a hangover for the sake of it!
I'll probably have a beer or two at home and the mrs a nice meal if she's lucky
