Affirmations and feel goods in the gym.

ad

Yesterday was my shoulder day. I completely destroyed my shoulders, you know the feeling, where the weight of your arms hanging down absolutely sets your delts on fire. yeah, i had that going on and it was awesome. The kind of pain where you have to sit down and mutter "fuck fuck fuck" under your breath, hoping that the hottie that was working out behind you is impressed with your exertion. She should be impressed with my exertion, because i was doing it for her! I digress...

25 sets on shoulders, hit all the delt heads: Iso shoulder press, lateral flys, front raises, trap shrugs (i do traps on shoulder days), rear delt flys. definitely feeling the pump, and i'm having a hard time not staring at myself in the mirror. I've been doing a cardio routine the past week or so where i'll hop on the stairmaster for 20 minutes, then get on the rower for 5 and repeat that whole cycle. On my first set of the stairmaster, i've got my new yorker opened to the story i wanted to read about some scientist in the 60's talking about his experiences with hallucinogenics and amphetamines, definite A+ stairmaster reading material. There's this one trainer at the gym who's huge, big dude over 6' probably north of 230lbs, he's walking around doing his trainer thing, and looks over at me and says:
"hey bro, you're looking swole, good work" man, i tell you what, that felt great. you're damn right i'm looking swole, i feel swole, i can feel my delts bulging beneath my workout shirt that's at least a size too small.

I felt great for the rest of the day. please share any experiences you've had with randoms telling you that you're looking good.

on a side note: the secretary at work asked if i was on steroids, "nah, muscletech bro". I am so glad i found muscletech, that shit is great.
