A Little Old-School Wisdom – Respect, Experience & Keyboard Warriors! ----
Right, I'm probably going to upset the applecart myself with this one, but here goes! --
I'm new around here, and I've been spending a bit of time reading through various threads, getting a feel for the community and the people in it.
One thing I've noticed is that there seem to be a few individuals who enjoy stirring things up, arguing with other members and generally acting as though their opinion is the only one that matters.
Now, I'm from a different generation. I grew up in a time when respect, manners, discipline and knowing where you stood were a big part of everyday life. You didn't always agree with your elders, but you understood that they'd probably experienced a few things you hadn't.
And before anyone starts, no, I'm not suggesting my generation was perfect. Far from it! We made plenty of mistakes, and some things have definitely changed for the better.
But I do think something has been lost along the way.
These days, especially online, there seems to be a growing attitude among some people that having an opinion automatically makes them right. That reading a few hundred articles, watching a handful of videos or doing a bit of Googling somehow makes them an expert on everything.
And heaven forbid someone with a bit of real-life experience comes along and offers a different perspective!
So, for what it's worth, here's my three non-negotiable rules for life, particularly for the younger generation. And trust me, they're offered as genuine advice, not as an attack.
1. Respect your elders.
You don't have to agree with everything an older person says. Respect doesn't mean blind obedience, and it should always work both ways.
But remember, some of us have already walked roads you're only just discovering. We've made mistakes, suffered consequences, experienced losses and learned lessons that no internet article can ever fully teach you.
Don't be so quick to dismiss that experience.
2. Don't be an argumentative keyboard warrior.
There's absolutely nothing wrong with a healthy debate. In fact, I enjoy one!
But if your idea of a discussion is throwing insults, deliberately winding people up, belittling others or acting like an arrogant c#%t behind a keyboard, then congratulations, you've just shown everyone far more about your character than you have about your intelligence.
Being the loudest person in the room doesn't make you the smartest. And having the last word doesn't mean you've won the argument.
Sometimes knowing when to shut up and listen is the smartest thing you'll ever do.
3. Age brings experience. Experience brings knowledge. And knowledge is only useful if you're willing to learn.
Now, I'm not saying every older person is wiser than every younger person. That would be ridiculous.
But there's a huge difference between reading about life and actually living it.
You can read every article, watch every video and listen to every podcast under the sun, but that doesn't automatically make you an authority on a subject.
Life has a funny way of teaching lessons that no search engine ever could.
And here's probably the most important piece of advice I can offer anyone, regardless of their age:
LEARN FROM OTHER PEOPLE'S MISTAKES, RATHER THAN INSISTING ON MAKING EVERY SINGLE ONE YOURSELF!
That's not weakness. That's intelligence.
I've been through my fair share of life's ups and downs, including a serious accident that left me having to learn how to walk again. I've made mistakes, had setbacks and experienced things I wouldn't wish on anyone.
But rather than let those experiences define me negatively, I've turned a lot of them into something positive through songwriting and music.
Which brings me to one last little thing...
If you've got a few minutes, search for R J Deamer on your favourite music streaming platform. --
It's music inspired by real-life experiences, emotions, struggles, relationships and everything else life throws at us.
Also is multi-genre, so there's a bit of something for everyone, including some cracking workout tracks if you fancy getting your muscles pumping in the gym! ----
More importantly, have a listen to the lyrics and the stories behind the songs. You never know, you might find something that resonates with your own life or helps you see something from a different perspective.
And that's really what this whole post is about.
None of us knows everything. None of us is right all the time. And none of us is too old or too young to learn something from somebody else.
So let's show each other a bit of respect, have a laugh, share our knowledge and remember why we're all here in the first place.
Anyway, that's my two cents' worth. Feel free to agree, disagree or tell me I'm talking complete bollocks! --
Just remember, there's a difference between having a discussion and deliberately being a c#%t.
Cheers everyone!

Well, well, well... looks like I managed to upset the applecart after all! --
Firstly, apologies for my absence, but don't worry, I'm still here! Haven't been frightened off, gone into hiding or thrown my toys out of the pram and upset! --
Just to clear something up, although I only recently joined the forum, I've actually been reading through it for around 8/9 months, working my way through hundreds upon hundreds of posts, discussions and the occasional heated exchange!
So my original post wasn't based on five minutes of being here and deciding I knew everything about everyone. It was simply a reflection of a few things I'd noticed over those months, long before I actually signed up.
And let's be fair, as a newbie, I thought I'd throw something into the mix that might get a bit of attention, spark a decent discussion and hopefully generate a bit of banter along the way.
Well, mission accomplished on that front! This post is running hot! ----
Now, here's the thing. I'm genuinely not bothered whether people agree with me, disagree with me or think I'm talking complete bollocks. Everyone's entitled to their opinion, myself included. Life's far too short to spend it worrying about what strangers on the internet think of you.
What does matter to me, though, is the actually point if the forum itself.
At the end of the day, we're all here because we share an interest in bodybuilding, training, fitness and everything that comes with it.
And particularly when it comes to steroids and performance-enhancing drugs, I actually think forums like this are incredibly valuable.
There's already enough negativity, misinformation, scaremongering and judgement coming from people outside the bodybuilding community. So having somewhere people can openly discuss their experiences, ask genuine questions, share knowledge and help each other make more informed decisions is a bloody good thing.
And from what I've seen over the past nine months, there is fat more genuinely knowledgeable, experienced and helpful members here who take the time to guide others rather than simply spout a load of bullshit.
That's the side of this forum I respect, and that's why I eventually decided to join.
Does that mean we're all going to agree on everything? Of course not! Where's the fun in that?
A bit of disagreement, some healthy debate and the occasional piss-taking are all part of what makes a forum entertaining. As long as there's something useful underneath it all, I'm all for it.
So, to sum things up...
I'm still here. I've had a laugh. I've managed to get a thread running hot on my first day, and apparently I've already ruffled a few feathers! --
Not bad going for a newbie, really!
No hard feelings from my end, and certainly no regrets. I'm here to learn, contribute where I can, have a bit of banter and hopefully get to know some decent people along the way.
Anyway, cheers for the warm welcome, you miserable bunch of muscle-bound bastards! ----
Onwards and upwards! --

100%. New to the forum and the amount of absolute pricks here is insane. Good post
Hmmmmm......
I mean it’s true man----. Ofc gotta have thick skin and it’s the internet and all, but some of these people …
Like who?
I just went thru his comment again to see if I was in the wrong since so many ppl disagree, I didn’t realize it was all an ad lmfao. I take back what I said.
Lol WTH, why am I the only one you negged?
I feel very singled out @Gattaca.
Wasn’t meant toward you --
Oh ok
Okay.
i feel like im reading a chatgpt response
Totally agree but you’ll get that where ever you go online and IRL
I enjoy being treated the way I treat others and that’s with respect.
People have their views and that’s cool I ain’t here to change them but I also don’t want people to attempt to hijack mine.
When it comes to text there’s a lack of emotion so I think (hope) some people read it wrong and attack or defend depending on the situation.
I’m older too. You know what else my generation can’t stand? Someone with a holier-than-thou attitude. Here’s three more rules...
Understand there are trolls everywhere on the internet. It does no good to troll the trolls.
You gotta have thick skin and a sense of humor. Don’t be a twat-sickle.
True wisdom knows when to keep its mouth shut.
Gay
Are you a top or a bottom?
Inqueering minds want to know
The most important lesson in kindergarten is to learn how to play with others
Sounds like you might have been homo schooled and prefer to play with yourself
Good Luck
Please do not make fun of people who were Homo Schooled
It's too early for an infomercial. I'm the oldest one in the room so, respect that.
If I see a trend you will truly be a ghost of a memory around here.
Music fucking sucks
Seriously did you even fall for (its) self-promotion?
Nah, I know exactly what this fucktard is doing. I just got curious
Cool, just as long as it wasn't bicurious
Repect
I havent started the tren yet, give me a few weeks LOL
More like " BJ reamer" am I right?
You DON'T mean that!!!!!
Terrible LOL
And I looked up r j deamer...
Nice bud probably didnt expect these comments LOL
It was the
Goober
Well most people on here are doing it cuz they are bored and like seeing some these juiceheads lose their mind during a tren cycle so they stir things up. There's a lot of gay play on here also. It's kinda just how it is here. Gotta have some thicker skin on here. Don't take these comments personal like the roid raging juiceheads that people pole with a stick until they explode lol
Eh
“We don’t negotiate with terrorists.”
Ok fucking new guy. You sound like a pretentious, condescending prick.
Fuck yes. I like this massa Ron. Where has this guy been hiding??
Thanks for the advice, dad. Now go back to your room
@TeaBody that scene from Road House when Terry Funk is beating the shit outta Dalton and Wade Garrett walks out and Terry Funk goes “MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS DAD”, that’s how I just read that.
Just wondering if dad is gonna log back on and reply?
Yeah - its always curious when they post up these forums and never return to answer anything, at least for 24 hours anyway
Maybe this was a bot account / bot post to plug their own music?
You should bend dad over and spank him in a "not sexually arousing" way.
Is that even possible?
I dunno.. Maybe ol dad needs to post a pic of his bare old ass and we can decide...
Let's see those BIG OL COUNTRY HAMS OP.
I am one of them that "who enjoy stirring things up, arguing with other members and generally acting as though their opinion is the only one that matters".
Saying don’t be a keyboard warrior and then ranting and writing this long ass post is hilarious. Welcome to eroids man!
I don't really know what you are trying to achieve with this post? Like don't get me wrong some of what you say is true, but I feel like you are speaking out of turn here. I don't know were you are going on this platform to see members of this community trying to stir shit to just stir shit? I have yet to see it, and you have to be a minimum age to even join and participate, there are very few Gen Z kids on this website cause they DQ themselves all the time cause they don't read the rules. Now sure, I'm sure a few slip through the cracks, but this post "you wrote" is for just that "children" but most of the members of this community are very mature, and experienced in life, and in PED's / Polypharmacy.
So I ask again, who is this post for exactly? Like did someone disrespect you already in your 4 hour lifespan on this platform already??
My advice to you my friend is this... and this is a good one that everyone can learn something from. "Take everything you hear with a grain of salt." It's just not that deep at the end of the day, we are all on a roid forum bro. I see no reason to bring theatrics here, or some contrived wisdom post that looks like you copy and pasted from a tabloid article that targets 65 year old boomers on Facebook.
^ "very very mature".
