Weight loss pills better than workout ?
ad
Hello,
My girl wants to lose weight and her first thought was some herbal pills to reduce appetite. I adviced her to exercise, but pills are the most easier solution for her. How do you feel about this issue ? Thank you, ladies.

AnonAnything to suppress her appetite is not worth it in the end I don't think. It's a terrible idea actually. The best way to shed body fat is a clean diet and exercise. And eating more often (healthy) will help speed up the metabolism. If she suppresses her appetite than everytime she eats anything her body will try and store it as fat. The less often you eat the more your body will hold on to the food you do eat because it doesn't know the next time it will get the calories and nutrients it needs since you are hardly feeding it. Not eating is the worst thing to do. I think you should help her clean up her diet, put her on an exercise routine with plenty of cardio and tell her to drink like 2 gallons of water a day. This is the best way.
I did an ECA stack for a while (ephedrine, caffeine, aspirin) and it worked but I felt like i was on meth and I had to take sleeping pills to go to sleep every night. It even felt wrong. I lost weight but like grrrl said, as soon as I quit the weight came back on... and it came even faster than it had disappeared.
When I met EmeraldLaoch he explained how that stuff messes up the metabolism. I've stayed away since.
of course pills are easier.. the problem is that once you stop taking the pills you didn't change any of the reasons as to why you had extra weight and so you put it right back on ... .. you can't take the pills forever so at some point you have address the REAL issue ...
AnonWhat I have experienced trying to lose weight.
1. Appetite suppressents are temporary
2. Diet needs to be clean
3. Exercise is just as important as Diet
Seems like she is trying to take the easy way, which I had tried a few years back. Once I stoped taking those pills and started to eat more I gained what I lost. I feel appetite suppressents are only temporary and she won't lose as much weight as she is looking for. If she has the mentality of "most women" or like me when it comes to losing weight, she will become upset and not do it anymore because she won't see the results she was hoping for.
One thing I have learned on this site and from my better half QV
is to be concious of what we put in our bodies. We need to keep our bodies fed every couple hours to keep our metabolism going, if we are on suppressents, we don't eat as much and it slows us down and it takes longer to lose weight.
Question for your girl: Is she trying to lose weight to be skinny or to be fit?
Sorry I am kind of all over the board here, If you wanna PM me with any other question or if you want me to go into a little more details about things let me know.
XOXO
AnonAnd she has to definitely remember is that it takes TIME and not to give up.
We all are in such a big hurry in our lives, we expect immediate changes..
Our bodies can't change over night but if we can incorporate a clean
diet and exercise into our daily lives, it will be something that can last forever.
I totally agree!!!!
Losing weight is definitely done by healthy eating and exercise. Once she gets into the exercise, I'm sure she will enjoy it. I speak from experience. I was fat and lazy, now training and exercise is my life! lol.

biggerthanyouThere are no magic pills. The best thing to do would be cardio every day and a very clean diet. NO JUNK FOOD. it takes hard work, nothing more nothing less.
