Water Retention

ad

Retaining a lot of water seems to be a major female problem, at least for me. I wake up with swollen finger pretty much daily, it normally goes away an hour or two. But for the past week it's stuck, I can't put my wedding ring on. My ring now fits my pinky, so it's a legit amount of swelling.

I drink at least a half a gallon a day of water, some days I hit a full gallon. I take a vitamin C supplement 2-3000mg a day. I eat almost no salt. It has nothing to do with menstruation, it's just super annoying to me. I had bloods done about a month ago and everything was perfect. I cannot figure out why this is not going away.

I have had same ring size since I was a teen, do fingers grow? lol I just can't figure it out. And while we are on the subject, do your hands swell when you lift? Mine do, and that's fucking annoying too!!

Your body needs salt.. now the little bit you get your body is holding on to because it isn't getting any .. you are making the issue worse by restricting the salt to the degree where you get little to no salt..

That might actually be the problem. I've been avoiding salt like the plague.

It took me and my lady a long time to find out why she wasn't getting rid of extra fluid when we were cutting and just in general. We have a few friends that are MDs and what ended up doing the trick was increasing her B vitamins intake, drinking a cup of actual cranberry juice at breakfast and lunch, and we got an adjustable mattress to assist her to get beneficial sleep and better sleep posture. We never realized the difference between sleep and good sleep until we started monitoring our sleep and fixing it.

Of course she also minded her diet and water intake, etc.

I have noticed this water retention tends to be a big guessing game for a lot of people, especially females, so I wouldn't get discouraged you will come upon the answer it's just a process of elimination.

I do think it has a lot to do with sleep. I'll give the cranberry juice a try, thanks

Thanks,You know what has helped me drink water was branch chain aminos(Bcaa)throw them in a gallon or half gallon jug and sip it through the day.I recommend Bsn Amino X it taste great, fruit punch or watermelon and its cheap like 18$ for 30servs.If your not drinking enough water your body will hold onto water so if you drink plenty it will flush you body of the stored water.

f you are prone to bloating you need to up your water intake to atleast a gallon everyday.Cardio that produces a GOOD sweat will help flush out sodium. On that note sodium is a Huge factor in water retention, track you sodium intake...but again up your water intake you may get bloated for the first week as your body adjust to getting more water but soon it will go away.Dont forget GOOD cardio is a must for flushing excess sodium out of the body GOODLUCK AND TAKE CARE

It's hard to drink a gallon, that's a lot of water but I'll try harder. I love your screen name by the way.
