Busy mom first beginner cycle advice
I have recently been considering starting an AAS cycle. I am 32 years, 5'6", 160 lbs, BF 26%. I have been lifting weights and doing light to moderate cardio 3 times a week at the end of my work out, and have had a consistent diet for about 2 years now. My husband has run a couple of AAS cycles now and his results have been amazing, but he is still new to this too. So I started to do my homework and read up on it.
I work four 12 hour shifts as an animal nurse. I am constantly moving non stop in stressful conditions, so I down a couple protein shakes and eat my calories, carbs, and protein through out the day when I get a break here and there (I try to eat more than drink my food). That and juggling a toddler and a teenager at home and their routines, I can't devote more time to the gym. Previously, I had run some supplements that were highly rated and were referred to as a "light Anavar" cycle. I don't know if that was true, but I have gained some good muscle. When I work out on supplements, I lift heavy 6-8 reps @ 4 sets. When off supplements, I lift light 20 reps @ 4 sets. However, recently I seem to need more of a boost and I have been more tired. I had my labs done recently (test, LH, FSH, Estradiol), but have no idea where my levels should be at before considering a true beginners cycle. All the info I could find was related to men. I have read about doing a beginner cycle with Anavar and/or Winstrol, but any help or opinions on the matter would be appreciated considering my situation. My goal is to gain more muscle mass, decrease my body fat, have more energy, and be in a better mood. I am not obese, just thick with mild to moderate muscle tone.

Is it bad that every time I see this in my tracked posts, I read it "Busty moms first..." ?
yes... yes it is..
Edit to post:
I have changed my diet and routine at the gym. I have noticed improvement at the gym by lifting heavier, but it just doesn't seem to be enough with everything else going on with my daily routine. I am exhausted and now my libido is shot. I have been reading into starting either an Anavar or a Winstrol cycle. I have not run an AAS cycle before. I have posted by labs, and they appear to be normal. I want to gain muscle and lose body fat at the same time; a boost would be nice too. Some advice as to which cycle would be the better to start with would help tons. I have read the pros and cons of each, but am still on the fence and wanted some opinions of others.
what works better for you is going to be very subjective. I absolutely hate winstrol and would rather die a slow painful death than use it. Some people love it.. some people hate anavar, it doesn't seem to do anything for them.. You'll have to try them out and see.
Have you tried lifting heavier with less reps? Once I switched from light to heavy I made major progress.
Originally, I was lifting heavy. On general weights I would lift the heaviest weight I could get to 6-8 reps in three sets. I got results, but now that I am not taking anything I can't lift the same weight. So, I am on light weights until I can figure out what kind of cycle would be ideal for me.
Everyone is different, but to me 6-8 reps is high lol typically if I can do more than five, I move up in weight until I can only do 3 or less. I do a lot of warm up, with light weight (or even no weight) but as far as working sets I go as heavy as I can, that normally means increasing in weight until complete muscle failure. But I also have a good spotter, without him I wouldn't be able to push as hard.
you can't lift the same weight but you can still go heavy... it just isn't the same weight as before ..heavy is relative
For my 4 job days this is a pretty standard routine: 5:30am: 1c Cream of Wheat or Oatmeal with 8 oz coffee and my vitamins and essential oils. 8am: 8oz 24g protien shake containing one egg, 1/2 banana, 8oz 2% milk. 9-10am: I drink a Gatorade mixture with Glutamine added. 12pm: 1 to 2 cans of tuna with 1tbsp olive oil on Saltines (or straight up), 8oz shake made same way at 8am, 2tsp Hummus, 1/4c celery, 1/4c carrots, 1/4c grapes, 1/4c cheddar cheese squares. 3pm: 8oz shake made same way at 8am, small bag of crunchy Cheetos or two rice cakes. 4-5pm: 16 oz water. 7:30pm: 8 oz of meat cooked in olive oil (chicken or lean beef) with 3 corn tortillas or 1 cup white rice, 1/2 avocado, 1/4c tomatoes, 8 oz water. For the 3 remaining days, I eat 3 scrambled eggs and drink an 8oz shake pre and post work out in the morning. I eat a roast beef and pepperoni with olive oil and vinegar and lettuce sub for lunch. And for dinner, it is typically a lean pork or beef pot roast with kale, collard greens, and sweet potatoes with 2 corn tortillas. I snack on peanuts and rice cakes through the day. I only get to eat fresh fish in the summer when I can grill (husband hates fish smell). As for labs, I will post them shortly. I know I have some major fixes I need to work on, but I am in no rush. My husband is on his PCT and I have three months until his next cycle. I would like to cycle with him so we can have a steady schedule. Thanks for the help guys! Sorry I feel like I just wrote a novel.
there is a lot to address here.. I ll start with training. Training should be more along the lines of what your body is telling you it is capable of. Ie, some days I feel strong and lift heavy with lots of rest. Some days, I'm not feeling that strong so I lift lighter and go for high volume. I listen to what my body is telling me. Diet is key to shedding the fat as well as to adding muscle. as far as your hormone levels post them up
Thanks for the reply. My training routine previously on "supplements" was heavy:
Thursday: incline, decline 6-8 reps x 3 sets. Lats, under and over, 6-8 reps x 4 sets (two each). and a leg,Squat 15-20 reps x 4 sets. 15-20 min fast walk/strength cycling.
Friday:Shoulders, front and back, and sometimes lateral raises too, 6-8 reps x 3 sets. Two triceps, 6-8 reps x 3 sets each. Abs, free and cable to failure x 5 sets. 10 minute eliptical cardio.
Sunday: Two biceps, 6-8 reps x 3 sets each. Trap shrugs 12 reps x 4 sets. Two legs (squat, lunges, and/or hacks) 15 reps x 3 sets each. 15 minute cardio step machine. Right now that I am not taking anything, I do the same routine except I lift 15-20 light weight reps on everything and do 45 minute cardio rotating 15 minutes on 3 different machines.
I don't know if I am doing too much or too little. I do understand that I will lose muscle now that I am not as strong. Any recommendations will be greatly appreciated.
the key really is to listen to what your body is telling you and you'll know when you see results or lack of in the mirror. Ie there are things I don't count such as traps reps.. I go until i've got the muscle burning so bad or my grip is gone.. I go heavy bc my traps are big and I can... sometimes I bench heavy some times I bench for the muscle pump. too much stuff and you wont see any growth because you are over training ... too little and you wont feel like you are working .. no soreness.. you aren't tired ... and feel like you could train twice a day ...
bigwillyyou realy should write a book, I fucking mean that. and oh yea I go heavy cause my traps are big,,,,show off!
lol.. no, if I was a show off I post vid of my dead lifts and bench ;-)
Post up everything
Peeps here can help with all!
Labs- tell you what those numbers mean and why
Diet- what's wrong, what's right, how to tweak, when to tweak, when to eat, when not to eat
Training- what to lift and how to maximize your goals
to be honest you have to get your bf down 26 is pretty high and if you say your on a diet than its not working i am not trying to be mean at all just speaking the truth, why dont you post up your diet and let us take a look also i wouldnt change my rep ranges just becuase your using supps keep them the same. you wont see any resaults from anavar at your bf i know its tuff i have been there , i hope i didnt ruin your day .
26% bf is average .. depending on her goals it isn't an issue if she understands that she will get thicker before she drops fat. So, she will see results, she will indeed be stronger, have more energy, experience a sense of well being.. however, she will not shred up ... but, she isn't running a cycle to shred up, so that shouldn't be an issue.
26% isn't pretty high for a woman in my opinion.
