Beginner Cycle and Food Intake
ad
I plan on starting my first Var cycle on April 1st. Yes I know this is a ways off but I want to do all my research first. I plan on doing a 8 week cycle week one with 5mg split than 10mg split then taper the last week.
My food now is at 1535 with 50% protein 30% fats and 20% carbs this is for cutting. I am taking OTC fat burners preworkouts protein a prenatal multi vitamin and fish oil for supps.
I do 30 minutes cardio everyday lift 5 days and I am 156.4 lbs with a BF of 23.1% I am also putting it off to bring my BF down naturally before I start as well.
My question is how should I change up my macros once I start? I am newish to the nutrition side of gains. So any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated!

AnonI would personally cut the fat burners. You don't need them. Running aas is like a little personal science experiment. See how your body responds to the var, diet and cardio, and make small andjustments along the way, such as increasing cardio a bit or cutting carbs off at a certain hour (3pm for example). Var won't make you lose fat, and if you're eating correctly and training hard, you'll gain weight- but the right kind of weight- not the jiggly kind.
And great job for researching your cycle. Hell, I'm even planning what I'm running in August! It's never to early to start mapping things out and shows you want to make the most of it.
Thank you! I typically cut off carbs around 1pm and first intake of carbs is at 7am. I will mostly be cutting the fat burner thanks! In was kind wondering about that one.
I am crazy motivated and this site has really helped with my motivation. :-)
AnonIt's a great place to read, learn and ask questions. Good luck!
Thank you so much! Right now my carbs are mostly brown rice, quinoa and Ezekiel bread. This week it is found more so in non fat greek yogurt and other foods. Thank you again
Honestly I don't even count macros anymore. However, it is good to start out doing so. I wouldn't change anything right now and see how it works for you .. remember that once you start training and building muscle your nutrient needs will increase and your intake of protein will need to reflect that. Also, not know what it is exactly you are eating, if you want to cut some of the bf fairly quickly change all of your carbs to high fiber carbs, ie brocoli, cauliflower , spinnach, greens .. oatmeal
