Over 50 and loving it. Do I have a choice?!
Hello All, joined the site about 3 weeks ago looking for knowledge and product. There is a LOT of both here. Good Job! I am really impressed with the amount of quality correspondance.
I am 56 years old, 6'1 and 180 lbs. I have always been athletic and a gym rat. My leaness is due to a lot of running. I average about 40 miles a week and have finished 10 marathons. I have mostly been interested in strength and a really defined body.
After a fairly lethargic and depressing period last year, I went to the doctor to have my test checked. He said i was within range so he wouldn't prescribe anything. He did recommend i start on DHEA. The way i look at, if i am in range at 56, I must have been pushing some test through my body when I was younger. The DHEA really helped a lot but not enough. A friend, who is also my age, did get a prescription from the doctor for test, so he got some for me as well. What a difference it makes!! I am happier (less grumpy), have my old energy back, and wake up in the morning with the little soldier saluting me. I am currently doing 100cc/week. Great gains in the gym, losing bf and putting on muscle.
Since I am theoretically doing enhancement therapy rather than TRT, I want to make sure I am doing it right. I am looking for a good estrogen blocker (tender nipples, etc) and more than likely HGH. I have a couple of nice danglers that I am quite proud of and don't want to see them shrivel up. There is still a lot of material to read on this site, but any advise will be well received. I am excited to really push my limits with gains and stamina. I mean, if not at 56, when!!?

U mean HCG to keep your balls full, not HGH, ......BIG difference.lol
thanks for the correct. i am still trying to get all of my acronyms down!
Nasty81NateNice intro Sammydog...just one lil error, I hope. You said your doing 100cc a week?
Thanks. Yes, the zeros shouldn't be there. I am doing 1cc of test e 250 per week. My guess is that is around 40mg? It seems to be a good dose for me starting off.
But, this brings up an underlying problem that I am experiencing. Without the ability to get advice from the medical community (because my problem doesn't exist), I am left to fend for myself and hopeful make wise choices and guesses. While there is a lot of useful information on this site, there is a LOT of information on this site. Reading through it is important, but sometimes I have read something that didn't mean anything when I read it the first time, now it does, and I don't remember which thread it was in.
If I am trying to figure out whether I am better off with long-chain esters or prop, I then need to be able to do a conversion for the two products. My guess is that 1cc of test e is not equivalent to 1 cc of prop, but it might be, I don't know. Don't get me wrong, I am not bitchin' about the site at all. I think it is a great and valuable resource. I a'complaining that I should have to search it out at all because the medical community thinks that I should be happy to slowly age and die simply because my body doesn't product a hormone it used to produce. It is okay to hook me up to a tube feeder even when I am brain-dead, but gawd forbid I want to be healthy and active until the end.
