Old dude, new to gear.

Hey all-

Just want to introduce myself and, hopefully, learn from those who are wiser and more experienced. Considering that I am brand new to this, that would be just about anyone in the community.

Some facts: I am 46, been goign to LowT for a year, nothing noticable but my t levels hover at 500ish. I am on 110mg\week. Prior to therapy, I tested in at 220, so I would guess that is a good improvement BUT..

I have been training since I was 18 and, while I have decent size\strength for an old goat, I am not nearly where I want to be. That's not to say I want to get competitve dimensions; at my age, the connective tissue just wont support it and, as I have a fairly active career that requires me to be able to move, I am thinking I may be better off going for an HGH regimine with some test boost and arimidex to keep the gyno in check. Also, I am sittign with about a 19%bf which, to me, is morbidly obese and I really want to eliminate that. Part of getting older and lack of diet discipline are the culprits but I want to strip about 10% of that off of me without sacrificing.

Anyway, just looking for a little guidance and wisdom. Thanks!

Good GH and test are going to be key players for you brother..

In your shoes i would start with getting bloods on your igf-1 levels and then purchasing some good GH and running that alongside a keto or low carb diet with a good amount of cardio/lifting etc until you reach a good bf% that you are happy with.. then once you are set there i would bump up the gh and do a 12 wk test cycle while altering your diet to pursue maximum gains whilst staying lean and happy (:

Yeah, I didnt finish my thought there...I meant without sacrificing what I have earned in lean mass. Understandably, some loss is going to happen but I know there are ways to mitigate that. Cleaning up the diet is going to be the toughest: not that I eat like crap..I am pretty careful..but it's been a few years since I have really dialed it in and, I'll admit, I do love me some ice cream.

So aside from the basics of diet and cardio, i am also looking for some advice on how to best do some research. Having never ventured down this particular path, I have done some reading and investigation and I THINK i have a good research plan. But, I definitely want to learn a hell of a lot more before I start trials. A buddy recommended this site as a great starting point, so...here I am!

Thanks for the responses!

See how 200-250mg twice a week of Test Enan or Cyp makes you feel. 500ish as you say is OK, but its not even above a natural guys level. You could tell him you want your levels at 900 b/c at 500 you aren't feeling any better. That's still TRT prescription levels. I am told most docs will go 200mg/wk with no problems. Adex at a dose to keep estrogen in check. Ask you doc about HCG if you want to keep you nuts full. I don't know the HCG protocol for TRT . And clean up the diet. I don't understand people that say their body fat it too high and don't make adjustments to their food intake. Smarten up! GH if you can afford it, although you may want to wait and see what a real dose of Test does for you.
