Hi all - new here. Looking for some suggestions on slimming down.
I've been reading this site for awhile and finally decided to join.
After a bad motorcycle crash and healing for 1.5 years, i'm now ready to start training and getting back to the old me.
The motivation to start training again is building each day and the stories and posts I read on this site are helping me a lot.
My stats:
32 yrs old - 5'10 - 195 lbs - 28% body fat - male. (Lost a lot of muscle sitting on my ass healing for 18 months)
Goals: I think i need to cut the fat down a bit so that I can feel better about myself. I've never been this heavy before so i need to get to work on a cutting diet. any recommendations? I usually feel pretty good around 12% fat, so I've got 16% fat to lose. Hopefully i can lose about 1-2 lbs a week if i do the diet and cardio correctly.
Cheers and glad to be a new member of the site.

Give them a vote if you find it helpful.Permalink56tooWelcome bro, grow along with us all. I am by no means an expert and you will get some of them to respond to your post and help you much more than I can.
From my experience I can tell you if you do it right you can lose more than 1-2 lbs/wk.If you are able to weight train the better.Stay away from simple carbs and do cardio 5x/wk. There's a memeber here "sgtstdanko", Not only is the dude funny as shit but very knowledgable about diet. Hopefully he'll be on here and see your post. I looked for a post he made concerning diet that has a wealth of great info on dieting. Good luck on your recovery and know that's just a hiccup life sent your way bro, just part of the process. You will overcome!
