Complete newbie looking for help
Hello folks I’m brand new here and was hoping some of y’all might be able to help me with some info? I recently went to a dr to get on Trt, he sent me out for bloodwork which I was able to get back already my test level is only 187 and I’m 39. Then I get my results back I find out my dr is now on a 4-6 week medical leave and I’m going crazy knowing I’m so low and can’t have him give me anything until he returns to help. I’m wanting to loose my extra fat and put on some good muscle. I’m currently about 230(yeah I’m a fatty). So I’m asking y’all what would your advice be to start taking? I developed some gyno as a teenager that has stuck with me so I’m considering an estrogen blocker if I take test but I dunno if that’s even needed. Either way was wanting to say hi to y’all and maybe some of ya got some time and can help me with some info

Thanks for the advice you guys, you’re right I’ll just be patient and push thru. I really appreciate y’all that commented and gave me some solid advice.
Just wait. A few weeks is nothing. If you go ahead and start pinning test on your own then when he gets back or in 2 months he orders new bloodwork and your test is 4 times what it was, guess what, no more help from the Dr. You will be on your own and if you don't know what you are doing, what signs to check for what bloodwork to get you will only screw yourself. In the meantime go to the gym. Occupy yourself with something until he gets back and when he does, speak to him honestly. And ask him to refer you to an endocrinologist. Even if he was here today, it will take time to get your script and get through enough injections to start feeling it. Be patient.
Seconded right here.^^ Nearly word perfect on my own thoughts.
First things first, start training in the meantime. Being overweight is detrimental to testosterone levels. Exercise will naturally raise your levels. You can lift without testosterone. So get that out of your head. Get your ass in the gym. Just do it. Because if you don't now at your lowest then you won't truly understand what you're capable of. Don't dig a hole and lay in it. Excuses are excuses and nothing more. Start working on getting your diet and training on point. Gear wont get you anything if you can't get the fundamentals down naturally.
The process has already been started for you by doctor....be patient and wait till he gets back. So that you will be under doctor guidance)supervision throughout the process. Another month isn't that bad and is a better idea than you winging it and going in blind. Don't considering doing anything until you see Dr again, otherwise you're essentially shooting at targets in the dark while blindfolded. Good luck
It’s so ruff to wait and to be honest I’m not sure my dr really has any idea what he’s doing, I don’t think he even did a thorough panel of blood work on me. There’s no drs near me that will help with hormones, I dunno why drs act like it’s so taboo. I’m also really worried the dr might not ever return, he’s about 77 lol
Get him to refer you to an endo doc. In the meantime, steroids are not your silver bullet.
take this time to learn about diet and exercise, start developing the discipline to eat and workout routinely.
Do not do anything that will screw up your prescribed TRT.
Can’t get him to refer me anywhere he’s gone on medical leave. I’m just stuck!!! The drs by me just want to give me narcotic drugs to mask the problems but won’t help me with hormones. I’ve been calling around and everywhere I’ve been able to talk to someone I was told they would help with testosterone if I was a girl trying to transition into a man, but they offer nothing for a man with low t trying to get back to a healthy t number. I’ve been on a strict diet for over a month and have dropped 10lbs. I’m just extremely fatigued, depressed, barely and libido and just feel hopeless at this point
There's a lot of bullshit in that comment. You can use any doctor or nurse practitioner. if he's not in, see the doc that's covering for him or anyone under your plan. It's not like he's the only doc on leave (medical or otherwise). Nobody's life is put on hold waiting for their doctor to return from the Bahamas.
Again, whoever you see, for proper care and coverage, get them to refer you to an endo specialist.
Wait till your doc gets back or go see a different one. You already have the bloodwork done. Going rogue is going to screw everything up.
