I keep heating about how its supposed cheating to use steriods in pro sports and how it tarnishes a person's legacy . I see it the incredible opposite . I believe if a person strives so hard to put on the best performance possible and realized enforcement enhances will Give them an edge I have to say thank you and I respect the fact you are willing to put yourself and your body thru the strain to give me exactly what I'm paying for ,,, a hell of a show . I understand rules but I also understand how much they make and what we pay to be a part of any pro sport ,, whether its from buying tickets , ppv , memorabilia , or even paying for the cable or sat to watch it . I think people need to mind their business and let the pros do what they do best and that's perform to the highest of their ability . If everyone has the option its fair and if some choose to abuse they may shorten their career that's their choice . From mark m , Barry b , lance a to alister overeem . I enjoyed watching then all better while takings enhancers didn't you ? Just my opinion

I'm pro steroids and other performance enhancing drugs. if we let all athletes use drugs , we can see the real human potential. we can take drugs for performance but we also have to put in hard, and the ones who are working harder are always coming up on top. that is if everyone used steroids. no one wants to watch soccer, everyone wants to see juiced up players, no matter what they do it will always hype people up
AnonIf the rules say no doping in sports then you have to play by the rules. Just like in racing, if you bring a big inch motor to a restricted race you are cheating.
Now that does not mean I think there should be these witch hunts, and most deffinitely not years after the competition has ended, if a blood or urine test comes back clean at the time of competition then thats it, over and done.
But we as a society must ask several things , and that is are we willing to watch mere mortal men compete ? Or have we become so demanding that the only way these athletes can get the fans adoration is to fill their bodies full of enhancers ?
Are we willing to watch our movie stars if they dont have ripped abs and bulging biceps ?

As far as Lance Armstrong ,he went out if his way to challenge doubters and lie constantly. He is a fraud. But in baseball, the steroid era , most of the players were using AAS. Using AAS doesn't give you the ability to hit a fastball or throw 101mph. It's skill and technique. So lets use Barry bonds as an example. He had hall of game numbers pre-steroids. He was head and shoulders above the competition before touching the cream and the clear. I think that the players from that era who put up hall of fame numbers should be in there. The story still needs to be told even if there's an asterisk. Everyone was using AAS. Look at the nfl. They don't even test. I find it had to believe that those guys are all naturally gifted with that kind if muscle. So yes steroids gives an edge but if everyone in that sport is using them then the playing field Is level. Lance Armstrong is a different story. But you're right. Who cares.
I'm completely with you on this. Armstrong did go out of his way to challenge doubters and he lied. He is a fraud and he threatened anyone who opposed him - bad apple. The standards and rules are set and need to be followed until such a time those standards are changed.
I agree with the asterisk for the AAS era and perhaps a label for the AAS era. I would like to see the rules governing AAS use changed. I do not believe this would hurt any "professional level" sport. No AAS in NCAA! Of course I would like to see a sack of baseball bats and sticks dropped in the middle of the football field after half-time is over too. Then at the same time the other bro made the comment with regards to kids - good point. Perhaps that's where parenting needs to prevail. Good topic bros.
IMO you are completely wrong. AAS gives someone an edge so if you choose not to take them all your god given talent means nothing if the other player is using chemicals. Do we create better drugs so we have better athletes for our enjoyment, where would it end? The ones that train 12 hours a day 365 days a year get beat by some guy that juices up before the season starts, what type of an example is that setting for our children?. Because athletes are on TV and our children idolize them, they should be held to the highest example of what hard work will do for you. If we allow athletes to use enhancing drugs then we are teaching our children that you don't need hard work to achieve your goals, all you need to do is cheat.
AnonI agree, but there is much worse things in todays world that influence children and young adults then professional athletes on AAS... how about the rapper who sings about selling crack and smacking "bitchezz" on the ass...I think those bad influences totally outweigh the AAS in sports by a long shot. We as a country pay these athletes more if they are good, why would they not use AAS to become more successful, its a flawed system, and in that flawed system we as a country pay the price of making AAS illegal because athletes are breaking new records that would not have been accomplished if it wasn't for AAS. The only reason AAS are considered class C drugs in America is because of these athletes. AAS is in sports just like opiates, hallucinogens and uppers are in music... without these there would be no Jimi Hendrix, Zed Zepplin, Jim Morrison, Rolling stones etc...Don't punish the whole nation for a few guys acts...its like gun control, take away everyone's guns cause some asshole shot a school up... that's not the way to do it IMO anyway!
