+ 1 When a SRC Has Delays in Their Supply . . .
Lately, I've noticed that some highly-ranked SRCs have had delays in getting their supplies. As a result, SRCs that normally have great T/A times have had a small percentage of indefinitely delayed deliveries and some that were well beyond their posted T/A time. The members who ordered (and sent donations) in such instances seem to have varying degrees of patience and in some instances the result is bad reviews, dissent between an Eroids member and a SRC, and so forth. Of course, sometimes the member was completely impatient and left a bad review within a week before even attempting to PM/FR the SRC. Yet other times, the member was kept up to date by the SRC regarding their order status and waited patiently until their package arrived and sometimes even received a bonus for their patience. At the other extreme their are members who waited patiently, in the dark without any communication from the SRC, well beyond the stated T/A time and when they contacted the SRC they either received no response or got slammed by the SRC who took out their frustration with their supplier on the member who's been waiting patiently.
I think that in most instances, problems could have been avoided with some quick communication by either the member or the SRC. It does seem to me that when the SRC has their own supplier issues that unfortunately will get passed on to the member, it is the SRC's responsibility to communicate this delay with the member, either through their Source Info page or via email/PM.
I was recently in such a situation. Some time ago I made an order from a highly ranked SRC. After the T/A period, I contacted the SRC and did not receive a reply. I waited until double the T/A time elapsed and I again contacted the SRC who very rudely informed that their supplier has been delayed. I waited a few weeks longer and received no communication (or package). I didn't mind waiting at all. I minded waiting and not receiving an occasional email or update on the SRC's Source Info page. When I contacted the SRC I got a nasty response, so to be done with the situation I asked for different products that the SRC had in stock. I left no feedback for the SRC, I would order from them again, and I do refer friends to them as well bc my many other experiences with them were good. But I think my entire situation could have been avoided with some simple and quick communication. This way I could have made alternative arrangements until my original order arrived.
My point with this is that such situations between Eroids members and SRCs seem to be becoming more common recently. I think both the SRCs and the member need to take some steps to help minimize the dissent caused. Ideally, SRCs can communicated significant delays via PM/email but we all know that this is not realistic as they are extremely busy. In which case they can address the issue on their Source Info page, but not as a post that will then get pushed back several pages by additional posts, under one of the headers that come up under the source's info. Members can due their part to help avoid conflict over some situations by demonstrating a little patience and checking the SRC's Info Page. If email doesn't work then the member can send the SRC a FR and PM to try to address the issue before leaving a bad review or negative feedback elsewhere for the SRC.

Definitely, As a source and previous customer here on Eroids, I must say people on here that get their quality gear in 2 days are spoiled. It's the source responsibility to keep communication with the customer about their order, but also, if the source has a good reputation the customer should be understanding if there's delays in supplies, it happens, its part of business.
I agree patience and PM's are required first steps. But as Nitti said, bad communication and T/A needs to be reflected in the vote.
I've also seen where a source promised gear to ranking members on the discussions board. Others started making orders... after some time it became clear no one was receiving any orders or tracking numbers.
All of the problems were being discussed in PM which gave the public appearance that everything was ok. The source, if I remember correctly, disappeared.
Point being, after following correct protocol asking the source in public will flush out other problems and can force a source to up his game or lose his rep.
Eroids is for us -not the source.
Great point!
That's why the review/voting system is set up the way it is. If you're waiting twice as long as the advertised T/A and getting talked to like shit, vote on those things and review! I don't give a shit how high rankings a source is. They need to be held accountable. If they have issues with supply, all the have to do is say so. They act like sick heads, give it right back where it hurts.
I agree with you 100%. Although I don't think I can vote yet. My point was just that if the SRCs, in general, communicated a bit more when there were anticipated delays then everyone would be a lot happier. But bc I don't see that happening, I think it doesn't hurt for a member to reach out to the SRC and try to work things out even though it should be the other way around.
biggerthanyouCommunication is key. That being said ur ordering illegal drugs on the internet not no explode at wal mart....
Didn't catch that last part, but I think what you're saying is that because of the nature of what's being acquired there are somewhat different rules in play. I agree 100% and that's why I stress the need for patience on the members behalf. Hell if Home Depot was even 1 day late delivering my new refrigerator I'd be pissed.
