+ 3 What does a review site mean to you? What does a Promo Mean to you?
To me, a review site means that we are encouraged to leave reviews based on our experience. It is a great way to get a feel for product and services. Sites like yelp, angie's list, and yes, even eRoids.
To me, a promo is a way for someone to get their product in front of me. Offering discounts or like handing out samples at the supermarket, "Wow, I didn't know Jimmy Deans was so good -gotta get me some and write a yelp review." The product speaks for itself. Jimmy Dean isn't offering me a case of sausage for a good yelp review.
So what do you think of a source who sends out PM's such as this? What about those who take him up on the offer?

Kind of stupid really. If I can't trust a review site to be nothing more than a commercial I'll stop going there. Then where would the source be?

there are always a few bad apples that ruin the whole bag bro...but I agree the src should be drug out and the public made aware of this.. Mr newb that's just joined the site looks at all the perfict reviews and how high the src is ranked he reads (the gear is fire or GTG) they buy on that reason alone of the reviews. but what mr newb didn't know that over half the reviews are Fake or misleading because the guy that got the free gear wouldn't dare leave a bad review...

I'll give you more free gear as long as you leave a POSITIVE review. Hard to really know if the source's product is good or not based off of reviews with that mentality. People will be putting up positive reviews whether it is good or not, just so they can get more FREE gear. "hey, its free after all so who cares if its good or not." What is just is bad is that they will likely throw up a fake review without even having used the product just to be able to get in on that sources promo and pick up more free gear and hoard it. In the long run Eroids is going to depreciate if sources are putting conditions on promos like that and people are taking them up on it.
to me that is the same as paying for votes.... if a src wants to give me a few vials of test or s certain compound I make it clear I will review it once its complete it may take several months but if there wiling to wait for a honest review then I will leave it.. but this is just plain wrong and it misleads... hard to get a honest review when being offered free crap
