+ 3 Updated: Bloodwork - Any input appreciated
I recently (end of Sept) got a physical and I requested some bloods while I was there (test levels, chol. gluclose). He said everything "looks fine". Alright cool, thanks doc. BP was read at 100/60, Test was 342, HDL was 34 (normal range was >39) so a little low. My test is now reading in the 440 range...
I decided to get bloods again a couple days ago (http://imgur.com/1X7NBUO). A few things came back which the computer considers high but by minimal margins all around. Does anyone familiar with reading these test see any cause for concern? I've been googling the acronyms for the high items but I just can't make any connections as to whats concerning with my lack of knowledge.
And extra info in case you want/require/need:
5'8"
144lb
~14%
5 times a week/gym for approx 1-1.5hrs each.
I split this up Chest,Back,Shoulders,Legs at 5 days. I repeat one of the exercises that week but it alternates on it's own. I toss in triceps/biceps/abs where I can but usually hit them 2 times a week each.
I've been flippy floppy with programs but I keep the deadlifts on back day, squats on leg day, bench on chest day, and military press on shoulder day.
2700kcal/day
45c/30p/25f (~300g carb/~200g pro/~75g fat)
Diet mainly consists of chicken, chobani, spinish, broc, eggs, cottage cheese, kashi cereal, whole milk, bananas, PB, Granola Bars, Chipotle, whole wheat/whole grain breads, brown rice, salmon, fairlife chocolate milk (effing good).
I currently supplement with a multivitamin in the morning. Sometimes a protein shake or two where needed.
Edit: Yes, I imgur my bloods because I didn't see a proper way to upload them to Pics -> Test Results without having to name a source.

Firstly, "Sorry this is turning into a health log here." Never apologise for that. you're doing the community a favour and your updates are appreciated.
Secondly, don't panic. It would look to me like dehydration and not a lot more. You're training hard. The average person needs 8 glasses of water a day, you need more, you're training and testosterone always seems to make me need more fluids, probably water retention being the reason but I'm sweating more. I had half a gallon while at the gym today and probably another gallon on top of that. I'm still bloody thirsty lol remember, feeling thirsty is one of the last signs of being dehydrated, not the first.
Regarding your stats, I'm an inch shorter, 37 and weigh a lot more, not trying to be a dick by saying that, but you're light, the reason I mention is (unless you're maintaining weight for competitive reasons and trust me I fully support you if that's the case) try doing what I did if you want to put on weight. 4 pints of milk every morning, 4 pints every evening. I used to get 400g tins of tuna, open, drain and add low fat mayo and eat it. Not nice.
Sorry if sound like I'm a dick, I'm not, I just like to see people reach their potential.
http://seannal.com/bodybuilding-macronutrient-calculator.php is handy
Other thing is with training. I used to train 6 days a week. Couldn't put on weight. Then I read a book called beyond brawn.
I train less but hard. Not saying you don't but doing heavy compound movements really helped. In my bigger days (I'm about 17 stone, I was 18) I was doing warm ups and then 2 sets to failure. Focused round deadlifts, squats, bench, dips, shoulder press and curls.
Your diet is very strict. Have you tried cheat meals or cheat days? If not you'll like this. If your blood pressure was high i wouldn't suggest it but I used to not train Sunday. That was for pizza, burgers, ice cream etc. You don't grow while training, you grow at home. I'd consider training less, still hard though (trust me you'll ache enough to not feel guilty), eat looser and see how you go.
All the best for 2016 and again if I sound like a dick I don't mean to. I was just forum browsing and noticed the detail you put in and can recognise when someone cares about what they're doing.
Donating blood effects fully gone. Hematocrit back to square one. 52.3%. Curious as to where people have gone after donating to Red Cross and still being within the lockout time frame in which they allow you to donate again. I've read hospitals - whom would you schedule with? Do you tell them about Red Cross or withhold that info? I've read about getting a doctors scrip for blood letting but I'd rather help someone if I'm going to spill it.
Also, updated original post with End of Week 5 bloods.
Sorry this is turning into a health log here.
Dosages remain unchanged.
Donate at private hospitals or other organizations. 52.3% might be in range, but I feel best at about 45%, or even less.
Several years ago, I was cycling with reckless abandon and my hematocrit reached borderline - like 59%. I wasn't feeling great, but flew out to visit a friend with a mountain chateau in the rockies. After a few days at 10,000+ feet, I constantly felt like I couldn't breath. Reason? Viscous blood doesn't move quickly enough through capillaries in your lungs, regardless of the theoretically higher capacity to carry oxygen.
Long story short, ended up going to the ER. I was much better once I was at 3,000+ feet or whatever it was off mountain. Doctors did a whole range of cardio tests - they were the best they ever saw way out in bumble fuck - but I knew what the problem was, but didn't want to spill it. Guy should have known as I was jacked as fuck at the time. I got him to give me some Ativan for the flight, as I knew the rapid altitude increase would cause this suffocation feeling. Which it did.
Got back to New York City, where I then lived, and started donating as often as I could. NYC has its own blood bank, many hospitals do, and you still have the red cross. Out there, they accept double red blood cells for all blood types (Mine is B-, relatively rare).
Donated regularly ever since.
My recommendation to you is stay on top of that. It doesn't matter what the range is, it matters how you feel. The worst that can happen is you donate too much and you have to pop some iron pills for a bit.
The only AAS that hasn't increased my hematocrit is primo, which is reason enough to stick to that exclusively in my book.
Donating blood seems to have greatly helped. I feel better and I feel like my bloods (End of Week 2) confirm that.
Also, I was getting a crazy itching/tingling/burning scalp during my workout but Nizoral shampoo appears to have nearly completely solved that issue as well after 1 use.
End of week 1 start of week 2 bloods posted (bottom of main post). Have a Red Cross visit setup to donate this weekend.
IfbbmoeOk I looked at your FSH and LH. Still think you should probably hop on clomid or hcg if you aren't ready for trt
IfbbmoeYou might have been really dehydrated, which could account for high hematocrit. But your test levels are still pretty low for being 33 and working out. If you feel okay don't mess with it but if not maybe try clomid at 50 mg for a month and see how you feel. Or hcg. Also what were your LH and FSH at? You should also get free testosterone done
IfbbmoeYou might want to give some blood because your hematocrit is high and those test levels look a bit low. How old are you? Did you cycle recently?
I have never cycled. I've just turned 33.
BUN is blood urea nitrogen and it will be elevated if you eat a high protein diet like most of us do. Mine is always slightly elevated but kidneys are working fine. Your hematocrit is elevated which either means you aren't drinking enough because the blood is more concentrated or juice elevated it. If you aren't and haven't cycled (which at 144 lb I really hope you haven't...) then dehydration is probably the cause
Thanks for the info kh.
PallMallIf your stats are right you dont need steroids yet.... youre 5'8 and 144lbs.
So i find it very hard to believe you have any significant meaningful amount of weight training in your past and are looking for a short cut.
Im surprised you got the feedback you did already, because you could and should put on like 40lbs naturally before EVER thinking about steroids or youre just gonna be selling yourself short. How old are you?
I knew this was going to come up and I'm kind of surprised I got honest questions before this was pummeled at me. I knew it was coming because I lurk these forums pretty hard and it's usually the first go-to towards newer members. I appreciate your concern I understand the standards someone should attempt to attain prior to using AAS. I'm 32 per my profile.
For the sake of the rest of the thread, I'd prefer to keep this more about the Blood Test results, as titled.
Good post...thumbs up....u say these are pre bloods, meaning pre cycle bloodwork?
Might exacerbate an underlying condition. U could be dehydrated...we need more history..like are u taking any AAS, currently, like low dose. Are you? =D
I am taking nothing at the moment and have yet to but am leading up to that point. I drink a half gallon of water on a bad day and a full gallon on a good day.
But I am extremely thirsty between sets. Like hitting the water fountain for a quick chug and not really a sip.
Is ur macros in order from pro/cho/fat? 300g of what? 200g of what? 75g of what? Thx
Have u ever used AAS in the past?
To the left of the grams is my ratio of each. So it's 300g carb, 200g protein, 75g fat. I wasn't sure if it was going to be clear the way I posted it, I'll edit that in.
I have not used AAS or anything related in the past. My drug history for the last 10 years is weed/alcohol and both are very sparse. Sparse meaning maybe once a week of each. Very light on the weed, 5-6 light beers on a bad Saturday night (or good depending on how you look at it).
I don't think it will matter but I take 1 scoop of C4 preworkout but avoided it the night before my most recent bloods.
I dont know anything about C4...Havent researched it. Thanks for the history.
