+ 3 Things to help with Acne

ad

Hey guys I know many of you like me have gotten bad acne on the back an shoulders since the use of anabolic steriods. I have found a few good remedies for this problem.

Among going to the Dermatologist and getting on some form of Acne medicine pills, antibiotics, or creams there are some home remedies you could also try to save you time an money.

For a few sun exposure helps dry out the blemishes a good bit. Sun exposure is best in my opinion to help cover up scars, altho it could also just make the scars darker and more visible. At the same token for some the sun exposure can irritate blemishes making them worsen. So it is up to the person on how you will react to the sun.
Another home remedy would be exfoliation of the skin. Using a Luffa or bath sponge when showering helps exfoliate the skin in turn cleansing out pores and preventing clogged pores to become worse irritated blemishes. Using Epsom salt to exfoliate the skin in the shower/bath also helps dry up blemishes along with clearing up scaring from breakouts. You can buy Epsom salt at almost any grocery store, super market, or pharmacy for pretty cheap.
Another pretty inexpensive product to use in the shower is a product called "Panoxyl" (10% benzoyl peroxide) or any generic brand available. It is a body soap best used with a luffa or bath sponge while showering. The 10% benzoyl peroxide attacks blemishes at the core to clear up existing ones and/or prevent further breakouts.
Lastly a good clean diet free of greasy foods and drinking lots of water helps too.
These are just a few remedies I have come across that helped me with my breakouts from steroid use. Of course sometimes these remedies just aren't enough to keep blemishes/breakouts away and clear in which case going to see a dermatologist will help.
Hope this helps anyone who reads it.

Take vitamin A 25000iu and vitamin B5. One will help with the oily bacteria that clogs your pores and the other reduces oily skin. It will also help if you shower 4 times a day. Change your under shirt 2 times a day. Was your face a few extra times a day.

I actually take 2 showers a day since I work outside all day. Taking too many showers a day can be bad since it could wash away too many oils your skin needs to stay healthy. It can actually cause a bacteria infection in the skin and make your skin too dry.
Never tried the vitamin A before, I take B vitamins everyday, B5 being one of them, I Probly could take more of it tho. Imma have to try the vitamin A tho. Good advice.

I find a good AI makes a huge difference here. For some reason, DHT's give me problems that an AI can't handle. Anyone have similar experiences with DHT's (mast, winny, var)?

True about the sun making scars darker for some. The dark spots left behind are called hyper pigmentation and they too will darken as your skin darkens.

I have tried 8 months of Accutane prescription from a dermatologist and it did nothing. I had huge white puss acne all over my top and back shoulders. I couldnt even wear a tank top to gym it was so bad. I tried the 10% Ben Peroxide also. No change. After 8 months of Accutane, my insurance wouldnt cover it and I was screwed. A bro at gym suggested a tanning bed. I didnt think it would work as I tried tanning in my back yard and it didnt make a difference. Within 2 weeks of a tanning bed 5 days a week, my shoulder acne is completly cleared other then a few scars from the acne. Its a world of difference. I dont tan as much now, but when I start seeing 2 or 3 red spots starting on shoulder, I jump in tanning bed for 2 or 3 day straight and it clears up.

That's awesome man! I can see how the tanning bed can be less invasive on the skin verses the sun. Good advice.

I've used that as well, the only problem Ive found with the rubbing alcohol is that it sometimes drys the skin out too much and can cause irritation, but your right if used in moderation that helps out a lot too.
