Smoked for 15 years. Quit 5 times. Longest was 18 months. Haven't smoked in a year at this point. I've tried the prescriptions, herbals and cold turkey. This past time I just smoked less and less every day, starting skipping days and just kept putting off going out to smoke until it didn't bother me not to. Tried to just not think about it. A couple times I replaced butts with dip, which helped bc it's not as socially acceptable, especially in Boston. Different in hillbilly and redneck areas though where even girls are dippin...
I use the e cig been off cigs for 3 weeks now... good luck. .. I find it so hard sometimes... when im at the shop I almost say fuck it one pack wont hurt... but not given in... gotta stay tough
I smoked for 15 years I quit about a month & a half ago I used the e cigarette for a week then quit that I didn't gain any weight its hard to quit but u can do it just stay strong bro
Smoked 50-60 role ups a day sometimes fags with them my thinking at 14-15 years old was it was HARD lol.then i could not stop my mates called me cancer man i was going thrw a 12.5 gram pack of bacca a day and quite a few fags for my joints,it was my pot head days.tryed quiting 10 times atleast failed.then i got to thinking if i don't quit this will be the normal for my son and a don,t want him dien of cancer or damagen himself cz of me.plus i was running trying for paras so i just cut down to 4 a day then 2nd week 2 a day then 3rd week half a fag split then 4th week 2 that week then quit made a big deal out my fag.sat on my own in the sun and chilling and enjoyed like it was my last fag past day on earth and this is GOODBYE my old freind then flicked it away and was done with cannabis/roles/fags even drink from that day.must say tho 1-2 week after quiting i got the shittest chest infection i have ever had in my life lasted 3 week doc said its normal and lungs are weaker and trying to heal.was bringing brown shit up for weeks.good luck bro man up,think about your family, kids if any and your sport and don't just wake up and say am done widdle off them make a deal out of the last fah make sure you know its your last fag and say your goodbyes.haha also after i quit smoking yes you will think i am talkint shit but my pumps in the gym where INSANE and power went rite up thrw the roof after the chest infection was over i felt lile i had a new set of lungs.
Gaining some weight compared to what could happen from smoking it's a no brainer. There is an herbal pill called Tabex, it works like chantex without all the sides. It blocks the receptors in your brain that crave nicotine. As long as you want to stop smoking you will. I know 6 people all who quit smoking using Tabex.with in two weeks of taking it.
Anonam off them 18 months, used the nicotine gum for a couple weeks. A lot of it is willpower every day I still want a smoke but just couldnt be bothered going through the whole process of quiting again, it really sucks ass. The battle aint quitting its staying off them, so easy to go back on. After about 3 months was when I noticed the weightgain start
i quit smoking after a pack a day for 9 years and picked up dipping... grizzly straight. on to the lesser evil imo
5htp, valerian, chamomile will help.
Chew until you break the habbit of lighting a smoke then kick the chew cuz chewing is f ing gross and not socially excepted hence much easier to quit. IMO. That's what worked for me. I chewed for a week after quoting smoke then stopped chewing bought gum and chewed a stick of gum when I was feening.
If you're gonna chew, make sure its some cheap shit like stoger's lol.
A good can of cope or grizzly is actually a much stronger buzz than cigarettes.
Lol stoger. That's funny. But you are very correct!
I smoked 2 packs of kings for years (thank god they were only 25 cents a pack back then)
Decide to quit, don't stress over it.
Don't say, "tomorrow", or after this "pack" or "carton".
Do focus on all the negatives while you smoke (e.g., burned clothes, burned car seat, smoke in eye, cost, smell, etc.) shifts your mindset from positive to negative feelings about smoking.
Then, one day when it feels right -Quit. Seize a moment.
it really depends on the sort of guy you are, I quit cold turkey a year ago after I got violently ill and actually couldn't smoke for a few weeks, if you're a strong willed person quitting shouldn't necessarily lead to weight gain, it depends on what sort of foods you consume so be smart and try and consume low calories if you're on a cut and possibly lower what you'd consider your cutting diets calories whilst smoking as your metabolism will return to normal rather quickly, but don't let the weight issue stop you as quitting is a much healthier way to live.
I smoked for 6 years bro, 1-1.5 packs a day and i tried quitting many times and failed. 2 years ago i read this book called The easy way to stop smoking. By Alan Carr. And i haven't smoked or craved a cigarette since.
