+ 5 Quadracep Post Injection Pain..This is why it hurts....the choice is yours

ad

Many bros on here has already felt the horror of a Quad pin. This crippling pain usually rear its ugly head 12-24 hrs after injection. So what the hell is going on with the quad pin? Why not easy breezy like our gluteal pins?? Here is why:

There are particular muscles of your body that are "Structure" specific. These muscle groups quads, lattimus dorsalis, ab flexors are always in a constant state of TENSION. Even when we sleep these muscles are holding form. The quad itself is a double edge sword. On one hand pinning the quad will ensure a gauranteed route of drug administration. This is due to how vascular and big the quad muscles are my friends. On the OTHER hand, pinning the quad( which is always in a state of excitement) will 80-100% of the time react adversely to injections.

Use your imagination and peep this: If a bee was to sting you in the quad, your body will send out immunglobins and fluid to the sting injection area. The venom from the stinger is surrounded by immunoglobins and fluid. Your body is blocking the absorbtion of the poison from the rest of your body by doing so! THE FIRST FEW TIMES YOU PIN IN YOUR QUADS, YOUR BODY SEES YOU AS A BIG ASS BEE!! Thus its going to send out the appropiate amount of immunoglobins to damn and dike that area off from the body. This is the reason you have the pain, heat and swelling in that area.

So the pain is caused by :

  1. Pinning too fast in an already excited muscle. Slow injection rate down in this are to approx 90 seconds/ml.

  2. The immune response spoke about above. If you pin 1ml of aas, expect your body to flood the injection area with at least 2-5 ml of fluid.

  3. Now all the fluid flooding your quad sheath is causing pain and inflammation by way of compartment syndrome. In other words way to many muscle, 1ml of steriod, 2-5 ml of fluid building up pressure in a tight space.

These are the reasons your deltoid and gluteals are the first regions designated for IM injection in the medical field. Normally quad injections are limited to emergency medicine administration and some diabetics. Diabetics would have biuld up resistance by pinning in the quad.

Treatment:

  1. Anti-Histamine like benedryl, but be mindful of your blood pressure.

  2. Antiinflammatory ie tylenol, ibuprofen, aleve..etc

  3. Heat massage aids in absorptions

This is how you rid any post injection pain. 6....out!

lateral is easier, but you want to preferably pin the long head. If you have someone to pin for you go long. If its a solo deal shoot for the lateral.

I'll try it tomorrow. Thanks my man! Juicinator does it and says he uses a slin pin. I usually use 25's anyway but go slower than I have to so I wouldn't mind it taking long with a 27. We'll see. I have both.

Thats whatsup...keep me posted on that.

I always do each leg once a week with the long ester cycle I am on. The last injection I was doing I was about a quarter way through and got really sweaty and light headed. i just about passed out with the needle still in my leg. That was scary. I am not sure what that was all about.

The PIP usually lasts about a day and really isn't that bad. I am doing Test Cyp and was planning on adding Materon to the mix next week. I am going to do 2ml total between the in one injection twice a week. I was wondering if that will be to much in the quad? Thanks

Quad obviously means 4 mucsles. Dodge the muscles on the top and go on the outside muscle. You have built a slight resistance to test cyp which is cool, but add the masteron in slowly because I'm pretty sure it will triggers a response.

but when i inject the glutes? absorbtion will be less accurate?? longer??

witchdoctor6's picture

Most meds rate of absorbtion are gauged on an AVERAGE size man deltoids and gluteals. Yes pinning a bigger and more vascular muscle will incease speed, but its rarely worth the pain outside of emergencies.

thanks bro!! really helpful my man!
