+ 4 Promos are bad for the voting system?
i hate to be the one to bring this up..i wanted to ask ur opinion on something, a wise man named Greg brought something to my attention.. Do you think that promos such as the ones that require ppl to vote first on previous orders encourage members to lie and write fake reviews inorder to get free stuff. also do u think that promos that give members free stuff in exchange for votes are biased, and that members might be inclined to give that source a 10 instead of an 8 because they got free stuff... just my observation ... im just seeing excellent sources at the bottom of the board while others who may not be as good (in my opinion) are rising to the top 15
i am not saying any sources here are trying to cheat, but rather us members might be screwing up and some sort of regulation should be considered. honesty should be the number one requirement of this site

just because they send you free shit doesnt mean you got to give them 10's, ive left a number of bad reviews based on free gear. Ive heard this topic over and over actually, ive heard that as a MOD getting free gear I have to be biased, I really dont understand what the complication is, I dont give a fuck about a source and his free gear, I may or may not even review it or give him a vote, i dont care what his promo/stipulations are, and 99% of the time the only time I recommend a source is in a review that I leave saying I would buy from this source again. I have had hundreds of PM's asking about what source i recommend and my answer is always the same "I dont promote sources"....To get back to your question though, the review first promo that was just up did catch my attention and I didnt care much for it and I would think that it would promote a fake review, I know what the source was getting at by doing it and that was seeing if the 2000+ eroids members that had already bought would leave a review as they had already experienced their product ETC. As for the other promo what I feel is that it doesnt make the system flawed, the voting system is not at fault its the members that need to check their honesty when reviewing and voting....Also remember that we have 3 sections for ranks now, and although some sources may get a jump with their promos their votes fall off after a year so it doesnt take much for their rank to change if they start selective scamming.
Well that's what I'm saying , that its us members who are screwing up
the other thing I will add is that there is a few souces that have made it up the ranks based on just one or 2 compounds, I got a feeling once people start ordering their other products the bad reviews will come in.

well what im saying is, ppl need to be more careful with there reviews. u have to comment on the quality. just because they gave u a vail , u shouldnt give them a 10 if they really deserve an 8.. were here for other and i do read reviews that why i was concerned

i love free stuff, but i have to in good conscience agree. promo for votes may not be the best thing for any of us here.
Yeah, I don't agree with the vote and THEN get gear promos... But that promo where we got $300 worth of gear, hell yeah I gave him 10 stars across the board after I sampled it.
It's pretty much like paid advertising.
I'm presuming you liked the gear, service, et al and then gave him 10 stars across the board.
If you thought he was worth 25 points but gave him 40 because you felt he bought your endorsement, then you're part of the problem.
There are 4 types of "paid advertising":
1: I give viking free gear for his endorsement of my product. He posts pictures of himself and promotes how great my Creatine/dbol formula is for creating muscle... All the lemmings start buying my product.
2: I coerce people into voting for me and giving me a good review. In return, I offer a discount and imply that I will be selling you the real deal. You're one of the "select", -the in crowd, I just bought me a fanboy. Your vote, and many like them, rocket me up the charts. I can now start selling sub par gear to people who think that all the sources in the top 10 or 20 have been vetted by trustworthy members. I'll disappear after a few weeks and reappear as someone else when the dust settles.
3: I have some awesome product. I know it's awesome and I want you to know it too. For a limited time I'm offering a discount for first time orders -no strings attached.
4: I have some awesome product. I know it's awesome and I want you to know it too. In fact, I am so confident in my product I'll give you some to try. I know you'll be impressed. All I ask in return is an honest review, and if you're willing, get some blood work to support my claim.

I see no lack of integrity with this it! If you use the gear and like it along with all the other aspects of service I believe the source deserves a good review.
Brother, not sure what you mean by this. I don't think anyone is saying to fudge a review. We are saying that saying "If you give us a great review THEN we will give you some free gear." I think it would be better if they take into account those people who gave a great review WITHOUT knowing about the free gear and then they surprise the reviewer with a pm saying "Thanks for the great review, here's some free gear for your honest review."
RustyhookerThere IS a supplier out there saying review FIRST...then gear will come later. The gear never comes after review and theres no further replies by the supplier. He tried that crap with me...I flipped hiim da bird. LOL

it goes both ways. all it takes is 1 bad vote across the board, and a new source would be pretty much fucked in the ranking system. 0's carry some heavy weight against any source really, it doesnt matter how long they have been here.... we already clearly see how some sources are benefiting from being aloud to do promos.... members of eroids are winning the way it is now, so lets keep it this way.
... 10's are earned by good service and gear... but with that being said i havent had a bad experience yet. that is all i have to say.
Withdrawl+1 for making a great point. Eroids members are the winners in this situation and that's what's most important.
XV you do bring a good point. I'm sure it causes a bit of an imbalance in the voting system. However if you look at the stable sources not the ones that are trending, this is the best way to decide who you should order from.
Even with free promos, if the source is shitty they will eventually get downvoted and ranked lower. I try to order from sources who are stable, trustworthy and usually non international. Though there are some awesome exceptions.
I think it will work itself out. Sure they will hold a higher rank from the promo (at least temporarily) but it's the true worthy sources that will continue to be consistent. Like I said looking at the stable sources is usually a better indicator than the trendy ones

I can see it from both sides ? If you have some good gear why not prove it ?? However just sending gear to anyone isn't good. Now the blends are getting bigger ! Sus 500, Deca 400,ETC... Have someone that's not experience judging your gear isn't a bright idea! I think sources need to do some research before handing out gear ? I'm not talking about karma !!!
AnonI have seen roidnoid sample some gear several times and give an honest review. If it was BS or under dosed roidnoid was honest about it. You just have to find members that you can trust, that will give an honest review even though it was free gear
I think the problem lies in the gear samplers. I've stated this once ill state it again. There are a few members that are reviewing multiple products from different sources. And I've monitored their cycle history. And it doesn't seem legit on the reviews they are giving. They've been cycling for 4-5 months! Stating on one sources thread that the gear is great, then they turn around and write about the same compound with the source they're sampling. I can't take their reviews seriously if your running multiple labs with the same compounds.

I have seen mods do this and I have done it myself. It gives you something to compare to. If you are using the same compound its the best way to do it.
If I did one SRC's drol this cycle and someone Else's next cycle I couldn't make an honest comparison.
How does that give you something to compare if you don't know which compound is working??

That's not what I'm saying. When your running the same compounds from different labs, how do you tell what's working? You can't tell what's on point and what's bunk.
RustyhookerWell...easy. I ran a well known gmp test enanthate and first 6 Weeks gained 12lbs. From week 6 to week 12 i switched to ugl "bros-brand" and every gain stopped. Week 11 the high rated eq kicked in which is very obvious after running eq for years. Week 13 i threw the ugl test e into toilette and switched to prop from week 13-24. I gained strength immediatly after switching from 600Mg/wk ugl to 150eod prop. It was well documented and night/day. You'll be able to feel the difference after you run good gear followed by "bros-gear". Last 8Weeks switched to all short Esters of well known ugl....pics posted clearly show the difference.
