+ 5 Prolactin, Libido And Jumping The Gun!!!

ad

Recently started an annual cycle where in the use of caber is necessary. While some sexual side effects can accompany any 19 Nor cycle; any experienced vet can generally navigate around those embarrassing issues with some careful planning and DILIGENT lab work. I say this because it will be the crux of my topic shortly!

One of the measures by which I gauge my general health and, well being is sex or more to the point....Orgasms! I know this may be a risque topic for most of the gentleman, and ladies on this site but hey its relevant! If you feel your feelings are about to be bruised then quit reading now!

When you are 25 you could be blindfolded and get off in 2 minutes just on sensitivity. When you get about 15 years older sometimes it requires the focus of a SEAL! Different gear affects us in different ways and while something like tren can make you want to get it on like a porn star 5 times a day if you are not careful it can also kill your libido. On the other hand....there are things you can do to prevent this that can ALSO KILL your libido!
This is something personal but needs to be said in order to get some of the important factors involved in this whole experience. When I "go" it's like Peter North and I am not exaggerating. When I was 20, it was just like Peter North when he was 25 and at 41....It's just like Peter North at 45! OK so now that I have painted the picture, (That shit is funny!), I can get to how I discovered that what I was doing was not working for me.

I ran my labs before my cycle and had all of my schedules ready to go. I started the cycle about 15 days ago now and started taking the ancillary compounds to support it. I was going based off of many previous cycles and labs as well as cycle schedules I still had on file. This is important for you to understand because I was not going at this blind.....but I was complacent and even a little sure of myself. About 9 days into the cycle I noticed much weaker orgasms and a severe lack of sensitivity. It required twice as much work for half the desired outcome! (Avoiding the obvious pun here!) So what could it be? Experience has told me in the past I could have high prolactin but I was taking something to keep that in check like I had all the other times. There is also no way the 19 Nor I am taking could have kicked in that fast and I did not front load so even though that may be the obvious answer it is not likely.

Here is what I did. I ordered a 40 dollar prolactin test and was in the lab within the hour. The next day I received my results and was a little shocked to find they were very low! I pulled my labs from one year ago and compared them to the same symptoms I recalled having at the end of my cycle the previous year and hey, they were almost identical. Turns out, one of the things doctors check for when a man complains of low libido is prolactin levels! Not high ones....but low ones!

My experience with 19 Nors and caber had lead me down a path of self assurance and thus complacency in my successes. I started .5 mg every 3 days as was my common practice years in the past. The difference between this cycle and the others was I jumped the gun and started an unnecessary course of caber before it was needed and it lowered my prolactin levels to the point of affecting my pride!!!!

There are a couple of take aways here!

  1. I hope everyone got a good chuckle at my dumb mistake!

  2. Just because things worked in the past does not mean they will work the same way every time. Our bodies are always changing and so does our strategies. I assumed the cycle would be the same as previous others.

  3. This is huge in my book!
If I had not had previous labs to compare to; (.5 last year and .3 several days ago! This is on 4-7.2 ng/ml range), I would not have had a clue what was really the cause of my issues! I would have blindly guessed at what the issues were and tried different tactics along with stress, fear and frustration! Because I had previous labs to compare too and I am relatively knowledgeable about this cycle, I knew exactly where to look and the correct action to take to bring my levels back into correct ranges.

I took 9 days off of the caber and will get new labs next week where I expect to resume taking caber at half the dose every 3 days.

It was unwise of me to just start a protocol without absolute knowledge of the need for it!

Be smart folks!

Thanks for sharing your experience man. thats the great thing about this community - first hand accounts of real experiences. I'm starting my first 19nor cycle in the summer so this is great stuff to hear in advance.

Great post.
We can definitely get too comfortable thinking that because something worked in the past is how it will always be.
There's a lot more to prolactin than we currently understand. It's being estimated that around 40% if the trt patients out there are due to low prolactin, and test levels are directly affected.
I personally never feel better than when mine are slightly elevated. I believe how we individually process it is why some people have an increased sex drive with 19 nors, while others it kills their libidi.
In the grand scheme of things, were pretty new at all this science stuff. For a long time, there was no interest in what was considered primarily a female hormone in the male body. Just a few years ago it was being spread that prolactin had absolutely no function in males.

I'm glad you caught it. Keep us updated. I think we're learning a lot right now.

Thank you, sir...

Thank you fella. Great post and all good points. I'm a huge fan of blood testing and dosing ancillaries from there. Or at least testing to confirm dosing.

Whoever started the rumor that you have to run caber with nandro, needs kicked in the nuts. Caber, AI's, etc,...you only need them if you need them.
