+ 1 Primo PIP Sterile inflammation or infection?

ad

Hey All,

First week running Para Pharma Primo 200mg. I pin 3x a week 300mg weekly- so each pin is 100mg. First time pinning delts on this blast (last 2 were in glutes). Using a 1” 25g warmed up. Delt pin was Wednesday night, it’s Sunday today and seems angry. I have no definition at all in this arm due to the swelling.

I’ve gotten insane PIP before on primo in my glutes but nothing like this. I’m sterile as can be, changing needles, using alcohol swabs on vials and on skin, etc. been doing injecting for years however I’m new to PP’s Primo. I know it’s one of the gold standards, and I’ve read stuff like this can happen with real primo, I guess it crystallizes and can move.

My original injection site was lateral delt, but as you can see the swelling is at the intersection of bicep and tricep which means the oil tracked downward- I’ve never experienced this.

The actual injection site is painless as if nothing happened, but 2 and a half inches below it’s knotted up and warm to the touch, red and swollen and pretty painful. Feels like a mini lump is in there. I doubt it’s an infection, as the actual pin site would be the infected area.

I am thinking this is just a really bad case of sterile inflammation? I read it goes away in a few weeks if left alone. I also read 200mg primo is very harsh on PIP- I’ve only used 100mg vials in the past.

Maybe my delts can’t take it? My glutes get super sore from it but nothing like this.

I’d go to the urgent care, but I don’t want them to assume it’s an infection and give me anti biotics when it could easily be sterile inflammation that my body will eat up eventually.

No fever, no chills, nothing besides the swelling, pain, and heat coming from it. Localized no streaks leading up or down.

TomHardcastle's picture

Hey Fellas- wanted to get back to you all on this. I really appreciate everyone’s concern and input.

I kept it elevated last night while I slept. Redness actually faded into a flush pink, and edema was prevalent towards bicep area but it actually does not hurt as bad today and not as warm to the touch.

Still have a knot where the bicep/tricep/shoulder meet where I think the oil must have settled after injecting much higher up in the delt.

No fever at all, feel great today and overall I think it might have just peaked yesterday and starting to calm down. Will keep an eye on it and take anti biotic if it doesn’t get better over the next few days.

Sucks because I have push day today (which I skipped yesterday) but I’ll probably have to hit legs instead.

Good to hear man. Keep us updated when she clears. Sounds like you might be in the clear.

TomHardcastle's picture

Well I am an idiot and made it worse today- felt the need to hit chest and shoulders. Tricep was hanging over harder than a fat lunch lady about 30 mins post workout arm fully red. Freaked my girl out so she made me go to the urgent care.

It is what I thought- ruled “superficial phlebitis” which is just fancy term for inflammation response. Basically when I injected the primo (told doc prescribed test) I either knicked a vein or fascia somehow. Body sent inflammatory response to it and it got pushed down my arm and walled off.

Got prescribed some 600mg ibuprofen tabs which I’ll take tonight, and the doctor gave some doxycycline also just to be safe, of which I won’t take unless I think it turns out to be an infection.

If it were an infection, I’d have a fever at this point and or much more nastiness developing on the arm. The lump which is the oil pushed down would be jelly like and not rock hard either.

Sticking to VG with this primo. She has some bite to say the least.

Will keep you updated!

I despise shoulder pins. I stopped doing my right delt because no matter where I go, I go right through a nerve and blood vessel and looks like a murder scene every time. But that makes absolute sense, when that happens to me, my tricep below is tender for days. But never got that much swelling and or redness. That would've tripped me out. Glad it doesn't sound serious brother. Lats and VG are my go to's!

Looks like everything has been already said below, but from experience any time this has happened to me I just took an amoxicillin before bed and then come morning the soreness is pretty much gone, take another one in the morning and you should feel fine the day after.

If anybody else is like me and allergic to amoxicillin but wants the same quick results Azithromycin is a cheap alternative available everywhere and works just as good. No sides for me at all.

Will be advertised most likely as a “Z-Pak”

I’m no doctor, but had this happen to me. If you take the antibiotics and don’t need them, it’s not going to hurt you. It’s not like you’re taking antibiotics 2-3x a year for no reason. I’d side on the side of caution and get the antibiotics. Usually the warm feeling can indicate an infection. Mine happened from a glute injection and started as a red circle and warm to touch. It was an infection. Definitely be proactive and get it checked. So much garbage out there, today. Just got fckd on some Masteron. Had it tested and it was Test E and under dosed at that.

RobertB80's picture

That looks painful bro. I’ve never used primo but have often pinned into delts and have had oil travel down to top of bicep with pip, although nothing looking like that, just a slightly painful bump that goes away. Test at higher concentration gives me bad pip in glutes after travelling to hip or lower back. Pip I’ve found comes down to brand as well as concentration. Same concentration, injection site and method I’ve had no pip or severe pip depending on brand. Even if carrier oil is same doesn’t make a difference for me. Perhaps it’s the benzyl concentration, although could be many factors. If it’s preventing you from training and sleeping it’s time to bail and switch up.

I used Para Pharma 200mg before and it has a small bit of bite to it. I always mixed 1ml of test to 1ml of Primo to take the pip out of Primo..

I wouldnt inject it by itself, not sure if you injected it by itself?

KPowers55's picture

Not injecting primo 200 yourself? Does it turn your syringe into a rocket ship that requires two hands to hold steady? Scratch one-s head

Big Paul's picture

Never by itself, always mixed it 1 to 1 with test. Still a bit of bite to it.. Syringe didn't turn into Space X rocket ship

Oh shiz. My bad. I read that as never injecting by 'yourself'. I was like wtf how is someone else injecting for me going to do anything. Sorry I have two young kids and zero sleep. I'm an idiot lately.

I don't want to upset you, but alas, the quality of oil in China is now in crisis . The products work, but take a long time to dissolve.

200mg is a pip king. At 100mg its still the concentration. Gotta blend it.

200mg per cc at .5cc is still heavily concentrated. Its not diluted. Same as if you say hit 500mg sust at .5cc....its still at that concentration

Pandateston's picture

Looks like a nasty inflammation, brother man …that can turn into an abscess quick if ignored. Jump on some antibiotics ASAP (you can grab them on T#eLyR**x) and give that spot time to heal. Rest it, keep it clean, and rotate injection sites as much as possible. You’ll be fine in no time.

I am using Paras Primo and I don't get PIP from it but I am also always mixing it with test in they same syringe so maybe that helps. I did however just run their HCG for the first time and same thing I have really bad PIP from it. Para is usually top quality and I have never had PIP from HCG until now.

Damn dude, that doesn’t look good. That’s really weird that the spot you pinned isn’t red but everything below it is. Oil isn’t going to move from your delt to your Bi and Tri and with a 1 inch pin it should not have leaked and gone subq. Redness and being hot to the touch typically means you got a problem. There would be a chance it’s a sterile abscess if it was your delt that was swollen and red, but since it’s not I don’t think it is.

Primo even at 100mg/ml always has pretty gnarly pip. Even Bayer rimobolan. At 200mg that’s going to be even worse. I would not be putting that in my delts, strictly glutes

dbombs's picture

200 mg primo usually gives me pip unless I dillute it with sterile mct oil. This worked well for me when using the para 200 primo as well.

TomHardcastle's picture

Super pleased with PP’s products in general, I guess this one really bites you. I’ll try and dilute see if this helps.

Me too. Everything I've used has been on point, which is why I'd doubt it's the gear. Good luck getting that pip under control bud.

TomHardcastle's picture

Yeah red and somewhat warm to touch. Hoping my body metabolizes that shit. If it gets worse swelling wise I’ll seek medical attention.

Nope, 2 and a half fingers down from shoulders edge right in the belly of the delt. Injection site is perfectly fine, i guess the oil just tracked downward and pooled up.

I get the same reaction pinning my delts with primo. 200mg/ml is what I use, although I've used 100mg/ml and it was half the pip/swelling. I suspected infection when it happened to me, but it happened multiple times and got better after 4-5 days. Don't be surprised if some swelling/edema finds its way traveling down the arm as well, it seems the last part of the primo swelling settles in such a way that although initially the swelling around the injection site/localized to the delt, it seems to find its way down far enough to make the area directly above my elbow swollen.

This is all primo I've had from reputable sources and suppliers, it has a distinct smell that no other steroid smells like to me and isn't solvent or oil specific but must be the primo as I've tried it in multiple forms, all of which smell the same while containing different oils/solvents. The smell is almost like a light scent of raid bug spray, I'm sure others have noticed this as well.

100mg/ml will treat you better and if you warm your syringe before injection, can be pushed through a 31 gauge insulin needle with ease, but it will still give pip, just not as bad. 200mg/ml is going to cause some type of something if your primo is real, I don't think I've had anyone tell me they experience zero pip or no reaction whatsoever from primo, as you know, many have this issue with it. If you had some 100mg/ml vials also, I'd say to put the 200mg/ml in the VG and leave the 100mg/ml to the delts unless you're a slight masochist like me, then just say screw it and blast the vg and both delts with 200mg/ml but you could get your targeted weekly dose a bit more comfortably if you could make up some of it with 100mg/ml stuff in the smaller muscles.

Oddly enough, the best primo I've had in terms of less pain/swelling was from a guy DC tom, if you are familiar, a guy that used to run dcpharma a while back on here 3-4+ years ago probably and had a good thing going until he scammed a bunch of people. However he brewed it, I don't know, but it was equivalent pip to maybe 300mg test e and it was real deal primo. 200mg/ml also, not 100. Sucks that I'll never know what he did to make it that way.

All in all, don't worry unless it gets a lot worse, I have the same thing happen to me. Still trust your gut about going to the doctor if you feel the need. Better to be safe than sorry, but after this swelling has happened to me a good 40 times now after 3 primo cycles, I got used to it and didn't worry. I understand the worry because it does present very similarly to an infection. Redness, swelling, hot to the touch, painful and it even spreads in my case. Systemic response is also a factor, it does boost the immune system but anything that plays with it that you are injecting in yourself can also cause a systemic reaction, so just like with the ''test flu'', I've even developed a slight fever starting primo runs, however if it never went above 101, more like 99.5-100.

Hopefully this helps in some way, not a doctor so this isn't medical advice. Just my experience. Feel better soon man, ibuprofen will help if you are able to take it along with any other meds you may be on, be sure to check. For example, I know it can't or shouldn't be taken with a lot of common blood thinners since it also thins or if you are on platelet medication like plavix. You also don't want to take it every day, but here and there for some out of control pip, should be no issue if you can take it. Acetaminophen won't do dick for that, looks exactly like my pip from primo.

I have a lot of experience with how primo reacts for me so I'm able to know what's normal and what's not for me, it doesn't mean the slight fever I sometimes get when I first start using it again is for sure the same thing for you, so trust your gut.

I’d give you 2 thumbs up if I could my man. I appreciate you taking the time to write up this response. What you’re describing is super reassuring. I was almost certain it wasn’t infection just due to the same sterility I go through every pin session.

I read exactly what you’re confirming, that real primo really hurts especially 200mg. This is from one of my favorite sources and Para as a brand is top notch. Someone on this site tested our batch as well which came back on the money dose wise.

Glad you can confirm this is all normal- my glutes kill from this primo but they aren’t swollen like the delt. I’ve never experienced gear moving from the injection site downward.

I did not want to go to the doctor right away just due to them wanting to toss me on anti biotics without knowing the full context of the situation and compound being used.

Thanks again! I’ll update how this goes. As of now, nothing has changed, still painful and swollen/hot but not traveling and no fever or any other issues.

Oh ya I believe it. It’s very good stuff, I just think somehow it moved down the deltoid and pooled into the lower part of my upper arm.

At this point I’m just hoping it goes down- I really don’t like taking anti biotics.

Just keep an eye on it, it will however take a few days to go down and not be red and hot. If it gets worse and pain unbearable then you will need to get to a Doctor.

Primo 200 bites the fuck out of me. If the inflammation from the pip doesn’t go away soon I’d get it looked at. Better safe than sorry. But hey I only played a doctor on tv. You do what you feel is best.

TomHardcastle's picture

Ya I’ve read that’s a big issue at 200mg vials. The only reason I’m not stressing just yet is because the injection site is completely fine. I feel like if it was an infection, it would be right at that site and not well below it.

If it doesn’t get better in a few days or gets worse, I’ll get it checked for sure.

Oh shit man. Now I don't want to crack those bottles open since we have the same batch. I still get a bit of pip from primo 200 pinning 0.3mL daily. I assume I'm pretty sensitive to the compound considering I'm in week 4 of pinning and my forst rodeo with primo 200.

TomHardcastle's picture

Honestly I wouldn’t be scared if I was you, maybe your body sits better with it than mine with this carrier oil. My glutes are insanely sore but not unbearable or swollen like this. I’ve injected since this in my VG and it’s just painful but no swelling, so I don’t think the vials are bad.

I actually read real primo like this can hit hard in small muscles. I’ll be sticking to VG and maybe lats from now on.

For sure. Or give those small daily injections a try. I still get a bite from 60mg of the 200 vials daily. So I bet 100mg will sting a bit.

randomdude's picture

Just keep in mind with smaller injections it’s still the same concentration just less oil. But maybe the smaller amount of oil helps offset the concentration? Idk I never had luck with smaller injections with compounds that gave me pip.

Well yeah. I'd have to assume a pin of 0.3mL 60mg primo is going to hurt a hell of a lot less than a full 1mL shot of 200mg.
