Pre cycle bloods is fasting needed?
ad
Sorry for the noob question Going to get pre cycle bloods and I've always fasted before the test, but was wondering if its really necessary. Because by the time i take time off work and paying for the test i end up paying an arm and a leg for bloods. Sorry if this has been answered before but I've searched and no luck.

Yes. Fasting is needed. Just as an example - kidney function - if u want to get an accurate picture of how the kidneys are filtering looking at various minerals they regulate like calcium and phosphorous - a 12 hour fast is required for accuracy.
Thank you, thats deft very important.
I do for mine, I like to get lipids fully checked out, they present the most honest picture when the body is fasted. Just my opinion!
Yeah thats what i herd, when you do lipid panel you supposed to fast but not when doing just estro and testosterone. Not sure but would like to hear from others about it.
