Powertec leverage multi gym,

ad

Looking to purchase a powertec leverage gym. Sick of my local gym. I live in a rual area and with only one gym available, there aren't many options. Dirty equipment, dumbbells laying around. Mirrors never cleaned can see sweat still on it. You get the picture.lol
Looking into a powertec leverage multi gym. Has anyone use one or can anyone give me some insight on it. Wondering what are the pros an cons of this unit also. Will I get same results as gym or am I just wasting my money.
Thanks

That's what a powertec is a free weight machine. No cables or fixed plates. It's for people that want to power lift without a spotter. That's what the website says anyways. Checked craigslist in my area and can't find any?? Have a bench with some free weights and dumbbells, but can't do a lot on it. Want something that will give me a total body workout. Thanks for the reply.

I bought that exact one you referenced and it gets the job done. Check YouTube out and watch the vids of people actually using the equipment. There are way more workouts you can do than they advertise.

Yes sir bought one yesterday. I love it. No spotter needed for heavy lifting. Love the squats. Very versatile. Can't wait to use it agian today. Thanks for the reply

Sites been down but I purchased the gym @
fitnessfactoryoutlet.com. Definitely worth the money if you like to beast it up by yourself!

That's what I like about it, u can maximize your weight.

Where did you get it from?

Mike696's picture

Found it off craigslist for 800.00 plus it came with 400lbs of weights an rack.
Bought it from a old man who thought he'd get into shape. Guess not, it's like brand new. Not a scratch on it. Love the fact I can put 200lbs on it an not have to worry about hurting myself. Very solid machine.

Good deal man.I like that you can leave weight on it and not have to strip it for each different exercise.

That is a bonus. There are definitely more exercises then what the manual tells u.

That's the closest to free weights that is on the market. Without having to buy 20 pieces of equipment. Think its not worth it? I looked into the Marcy smith cage but that one has pullies which is more resistance then heavy lifting. Just trying to find one that works the best.

That's a pretty cool looking machine. Thanks

I have actually looked at those.I think they were going for $1500 or so.I looked on craigslist and found several of them for about half that. Some of them were barely used and some came with plates and other stuff.

Checked craigslist in my area but can't seem to find one used. I can get one online for 1,000.00 an free shipping. Just looking for someone that owns one or has used one for some input. Thanks for the reply

Try searching craigslist with different spellings.i.e. Powertek or powertech.

Power rack? Who makes this? I heard cables are more resistance then strength training, any truth to this? The leverage gym has a lat pull down attachment. Thanks bro

if its better for you to train at home and you can motivate yourself go for it im sure that piece of kit aint cheap and iv never used one so i wont bash it / i like the banter in the gym ,my gyms old wouldnt be clean with some outdated machines but its got barbells and dumbells and fruits stay away:) you asked will you get the same results or are you wasting your money ? but only you can answer that

Good points, not worried about motivation have plenty of that. Just don't want to blow 2,000 dollars on a gym an find out it a waste. My gym has the same problem out dated equipment or just older equipment. Thanks for the reply bro.
