Pinners Anxiety?
I am still somewhat green when it comes to pinning. I started out with orals, then tried my first cycle with injectables about 6months ago. All in all it went okay except every time I pin...all of the threads about pulmonary embolisms, aspirating, etc start running through my head.
How likely is it that I will actually hit a vein? Is there any trick to detecting them other than seeing them/aspiration? Yes I aspirate but damn it seems like when I do that it moves the needle around more than if I just stick it in and inject.
Iv only ever injected into my ham strings. Iv got a fair amount of fluff on me as I'm about 20% body fat too so I cant really see any vascularity in that area. I'm committed to my cycle and sterility, timing, patience is paramount to me. Just want to make sure I don't fuck up.
Any quick tips/techniques from the vets? Would appreciate it. I'm probably being overly paranoid but I'm sure everyone here has experienced to a certain extent.

TheCaptainI'm probably going to get some shit for saying this but I never aspirate. Granted I don't have a whole lot of pins under my belt but, I know guys who've been pinning for 15+ years, never aspirate, and have never had problems with hitting a vein. I did aspirate a couple times and found that it really just moved the needle around and caused more pip even when I tried my best to keep it still. I've also noticed whenever I'm given any sort of allergy, tetanus, etc shot by a doctor they have never aspirated. Guess its just personal preference but uhhh...knock on wood.
Has anyone ever died from not aspirating?
GearofWarLet me be the first to give you some shit. Aspirate. Plain and simple. Please don't come and tell the new guys that aspiration isn't a needed step when pinning deep into muscle tissue. It's irresponsible and dangerous. And as for the argument about 15 year vets not aspirating and never having troubles, well you know what? There are probably people that have had unprotected sex for 15 years and have never caught an STD or HIV. But why the fuck gamble with your health when the protective measure is so simple and easy to administer? Why ask for trouble? Sorry to jump your shit like this but there's been quite the outbreak of misinformation and blatantly horrible advice being handed out by intellectually challenged(to put it as politely as possible) individuals around these boards lately. It's getting crazy. If you're not willing to take the time to aspirate, or you find the concept difficult to grasp then I'm POSITIVE that you should absolutely, under no circumstances ever be running gear. Period. You know what, Fuck it, I'm not apologizing. This is just ignorance. Fucking aspirate you tards!
Granted, Iv never seen a Doc aspirate but then again most of their shots given are probably not deep intramuscular.
I totally agree with you on one thing though and that is that I seem to get worse pip when I aspirate, & the needle moves around a lot more. But I think its probably because I don't have the steadiest of hands. My good friend does not aspirate either...in fact Iv seen him throw it in like a dart on his quad before. Not the best idea IMO ...but its his leg.
@RoidNoid- I pray to the steroid gods that one day my Lats will be large enough so that I CANT see my Glutes:)
I was pinning in my quads, but after hearing so many on here say the glutes/ventro glutes ( I think that's how you say it) are definitely the best.... I'm gonna give that a try. I guess I'm just worried about getting too much oil in one spot but I think going between the two will be sufficient.
Right now I'm just getting ready to start a straight Test E cycle at 250 x2 a week and 30mg of D-bol ED, I've already got a lot of PCT stuff left from last order. I ordered from a new source this time so I hope all goes well.
@dansta- No way could I do this shit when my wife is around. If blood started squirting....lol let just say she is very squeamish.
GearofWarI fully endorse the name change to "Fluffy". That'd be awesome! And don't worry about the ventroglute. It'll easily handle 3ml of gear each side.
Please read the instruction manual. It really is helpful.

I just prey to the steroid gods, it goes something like this, all in my head, "I hope today I dont inject into a vein".....Cause I hit mostly glutes as they are the best for lots of oil and the best for PIP(on me that is), but aspirating them is a fucking joke cause the needle goes in and out easily a 1/4 inch on every pin, I have to watch it from the mirror cause I cant get far enough around to see, my lats are in the damn way!.....
AnonI recently did a shot in front of the miss' s-delt shot..when I pulled out blood started pissing out..she nearly puked..im all jokes "we got a bleeder"..it gets better in time and practice and technique..but every so often it doesnt go to plan..all the best!
Im 52 and just started running test .. took me a while to get to this. I had to have a friend of mine , on the phone yelling at me what to do. (I felt "dirty") I quess. I pinned my calves for like the first 4 weeks. Didnt feel nothing going in. 26 gauge needle too. I went back and forth between the left and right leg. Now I just use the thighs.. same size pin (25 gauge). and I dont feel anything really..I go about 3-4 inches above the knee and Im fine..
Fuck it I'm just going to change my name to Fluffy, lol. You hit on a point with warming your oils that I have not quite researched on yet. I will definitely keep aspirating. I am using 1.5" 23 gauge needles so I'm with you there.
Thanks for the advice as always. This guy needs some karma so I can do a source review in a few weeks so if you guys can ever throw some love my way I'd appreciate it.
when you warm the oil.. use a hair dryer..I dont know why people use hot water.
I set mine on low and it takes a few minutes..check it with your hand so the vial
doesn't get really hot.. warm is fine. Ive never gotten real PIP.
Good idea man. I WAS going to use water. Don't know why ...since it makes sense that method would be a sure fire way to introduce bacteria onto/into the vile. I do rub down my viles obsessively with alcohol anyway but why tempt fate.
Tried to change my name to fluffy but it wont let me lol.
Switch to 25 gauge, forces you to inject slower and you barely feel it going in. If you're not shaking from nerves but still shaking then you're pushing the plunger too hard. If you heat up the vials first the alcohol evaporates more quickly. The easiest and least painful site is the ventoglutes. Drop trousers, put your hand just under your hips and shift weight side to side. That muscle you feel bulging is where you want to hit. Increase water intake, supplement with potassium and take a hot shower before injecting...all will help relaxing and feeling the needle less. Do it all first thing in the morning before any caffeine.
If you seriously change your name to fluffy I'll give you some karma
GearofWarLol, just logged on this morning to read about someone injecting into "fluffy" hamstrings and was like, WTF?! Wait a minute...Thanks for the clarification. Anyways, don't fear the needle. Become one with the needle Daniel San. Love the needle. Worship her and treat her with utmost care and respect and she will take care of you. Lol, sorry for the bullshit, I'm just feeling goofy this AM. But in all seriousness don't be afraid of injecting. Put all of the embolism stories, infections, air bubbles in veins and arteries causing instant death, nicking a vein and hacking to death, passing out, all of the fear mongering horse-shit. My hard and fast rules for pinning are, be sterile: Wipe, wipe, and wipe again with your alcohol prep pads. That wipe down your vial as many times as needed to make you feel comfortable, and wipe you inject site vigorously. Let your vial and inject site dry by themselves-don't blow or use a hair dryer. Warm your gear. ASPIRATE(each and every time). Aspiration is your key to keeping yourself safe and away from all of the nasty stories of hitting nerves, veins, air bubbles, embolisms, etc. Go deep enough(I use 1.5" pins and bury them every inject). Take your time when injecting. Pin your ventroglutes-best spot on your body to inject IMO. Commit to your injection. Make pinning a routine and you'll be less likely to forget a step and screw up. Go to spotinjections.com for a guide to pin sites. You'll be an old pro before you know it and looking forward to that next injection.
Boom! Can't go wrong with any of this! +1
As for injecting air and people dying, well it's not going to happen. The last knee surgery I had, the nurse put an IV in me and turned it on. There was about 4-5 ft of hose and all the air from the hose went into my vein. I thought "this is the end", but all I got was a little light headed and that was it. The heart basically micronizes the air. You'd have to inject tons of air to cause an embolism.
Well I was going to try to help but^^^^^----- Covered all valid points, that I was going to hit.
Quads...shit I meant quads. I'm glad I copped to being green lol. I woke up and saw all the help and it really eased my mind. The advice and links were great. I will post some stats on my profile as I plan on becoming more active on the forum and would like to start leaving feedback on the source threads.
@oldhead- Your right about that! I remember I was in the hospital for Pneumonia and the had to try like 3 times just to TRY and get a vein for the saline bag. Good point!
Again thanks to all for the input!

Ham Strings?! Are you serious? I've never heard of hamstrings as an injection site. Who instructed you to inject there? Are you certain you're referring to the correct muscle group? Do you mean your thigh (Quadriceps)?
I suggest only injecting into your glutes and quads to start, then after you're more comfortable and experienced, only the following injection sites: ( as already stated in other posts below)

I have hit a vein a few times. Just today, I was pinning my delt and hands shaking. First aspirating no blood was present. Due to the shaking I pulled back a little and there was blood. I just moved the needle a little and kept going.
I've pinned through veins a few times, but the needle just went past it. I've never pulled any blood while aspirating but sometimes get a little blood leaking out when I remove the syringe.
Nothing went squirting out or anything scary like that, just a little dribble down the leg.
here's a handy link to all of the places to inject.

notice hammy's not on the list. I'm pretty sure it's because of arteries and nerves!
1st off IMO you should stick to easy injection spots when you are "green", I suggest rotating glutes and delts to start. If you are unsure how to do these check out this site - spotinjections.com. As far as injecting into a vein, it is not that common, and if you do the worst thing you may get is a bad cough after you pin. Have you ever tried to start an IV on someone or draw blood. Well it is not that easy to hit a big vein when you are trying let alone hitting one on accident doing an IM injection. So I say relax, follow the appropriate pinning protocol and you will be fine.
BTW post some stats in your bio.. We like to make sure your not a kid harming yourself !!
True that Shady ;-D
Shady! NFC offensive player of the year!!
You know I'm a fan brother! I'll never forget that Detroit game!
When I hit a vein, I bleed green!
Me too brother !!
one thing I do is hold the pin completely in with my fingertips so the needles does slide in and out. As long as you aspirated your good. I'm going to school for emt
oh and pin upper outer glute safest place you can go in sideways it's fine
Fluffy hamstrings are a no-no. You are asking for big problems the least of which is pulmonary embolism.
