Some of you may have already noticed posting gear pics no longer gets you automatic points. After a few years of it being like this all MODs and admin decided that it has been abused and we spend to much time running around checking into it. furthermore it doesnt seem like a very legit way for getting karma so we have removed the automatic point feature. everything else still works as normal.

Now it's possible to post more than one pic in a day? I'm assuming this is due to removing the auto +1 per pic entry..
So do half naked chick pics still get an automatic +50?? :-P

I think this is very legit Noid. Been here almost 3'yrs and seen folks post pics every day to boost their points and that was the only reason they posted pics was for karma. But if this goes into effect we should be able to post multiple gear pics within the same day since now karma is involved and some guys get 2 or 3 orders recieved same day that they want to post up. I know it's rare but it's happened to me before.
Ok so I agree with this although I am guilty of having many pics posted and earning alot of karma off of the back of it. I will still put up pics here and there but I did stop posting most of them a couple months ago being I feel like I need to contribute more now to maintain my level 3 status properly. No more cheap points for this guy! If I can't gain points based on my help or knowledge I didn't deserve the badge anyway, IMO.
nicely done Mods, this is just an assumption however, I'm confident it's fact for a select few, in the past year I've noticed new members show up take daddy's credit card buy 5yrs worth of gear, post all the pics, and before you blink they are level 2 or 3 members.
I don't think we should get automatic points for any pictures. If the community feels a pic is a positive addition to the website then up vote it.

I, personally, would love to see a system in place that limits (within reason) how many points you can earn outside of the forums. Maybe 25 every six months or so? For instance, I can think of a couple of newer members who have jumped into the 300 karma range in a very short period of time.... 90% of that because of self-pics.... seriously? So every few weeks I flex in front of the mirror for you guys and gals and I can have a reputation as a trusted member because of my shape? This is not meant to knock said individuals....one of them is very active and working their butt off to be a part of the community, the other, not so much. NO, I'm not naming any names. This isn't a condemnation of either of these members. But to think that you could have earned 300 karma in a few short months, mainly because of genetics, is a very misleading thing to attach to any member. That, imo, is the biggest issue we face with regards to karma.

well I suppose im not found of rules breakers, I dont know if you know yet with the 600 points you got but downvoting a post for fun is against the rules and often starts problems between members that i generally have to go and fix. so thats where the red came from.
