ODD Question... Swolen glutes...??

ad

I have been a long time user of gear. Over the last year I am getting weird swelling in my glute near injection site. It doesnt happen every time, and swelling goes down with ibuprofin. It is worse when I hit glute medius near top outside of glute. I know gear is clean and legit. I warm up oil before injecting, and always use super clean process for everything. I never used to get this type of swelling. Dr. said I have stuck the muscle too many times. He advised I go down from 1.5" 23 gauge to a 1/25 inch which I did. still happens from time to time. As mentioned, I know the gear is prepared in a clean room environment. Is it possible that my glutes are too beat down for injections? Using for last 20 years. I have never gone to shoulder or quads. Sketched about doing so. My quads are like rocks and I am worried I will do damage.

Advise?

If you are lean enough which I am sure you are, go to the shoulders and use an insulin syringe. You can draw the oil with a bigger syringe and needle then pull out the plunger on the insulin syringe, fill it up and place plunger back, get rid of air bubbles and then pin away.

Swelling for me sometimes is just down to the mixture and pinning too fast. It'll subside. If it becomes red, inflamed then you may need antibiotics. Until then, ride it out.

thanks for the reply. That is the weird thing. it does swell up to the point that I cant sleep on that side. sometimes it lasts 5 days. Recently it only lasted 2 days. the swelling almost feels like it is the shape of the glute medius muscle.
