Numbness in hands while asleep while on cycle?
ad
Hey guys,
I'm about five weeks into an npp/test cycle. I've been waking up nightly with numbness in my hands.
This happened to me last summer as well when I wasn't on cycle.
Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and had any ideas about whats causing it.
Thanks.

Let us not rule out some sort of neck injury.
My hands would go numb and tingling after I was involved in a MVA. ( Found out later, a broken neck was involved)
Have you gained much in the 5 weeks? Quick growth can cause some restriction.
I've gained about 10 pounds. I thought it might be from just being bigger and therefore the circulation getting cut off to my hands since I'm probably still sleeping in the same positions as I always have.
Rustyhooker^^^^added size and how you used to position in bed.
I know some are joking about it and I'm gonna try and contain my own jokes as I truly belive it's nothing at all, but it could potentially be something serious since you don't truly know what it is. The fact that it has only happened, that you recall at least, while on cycle could either be coincidence or something else. Truth be told, it's highly unlikely it has anything to do with your cycle and probably coincidence. Still, numbness in the hands can also be symptoms of many other things from minor to as shitty as diabetes or multiple sclerosis. Not tryna freak you out but didn't wanna just brush this off. Hopefully it's all just cause you like to sleep on your arms but are just paranoid cause you're on cycle.
Well it did happen last summer when I was natty but working out really intensely and making some great gains.
I'm thinking it was the way I sleep, I just wanted to hear if others had this experience as well and it seems like a lot of people have.
My hands will get numb if they are in the wrong position even when I am awake, and it happens so much more frequently when I am on cycle.
I'm no Dr., but my impression is that this is a circulatory symptom related to water retention.
Try a different pillow. Might force to sleep in a different position and help you rule out the "sleeping on your arm" thing.
It happens to me all the time, its called, "sleeping on your arm." I sleep on my side and when I do it cuts off blood circulation to my hand(s) I am training myself to sleep on my back and when I do no more numb hands.
Do you sleep on your side or on your stomach/back?
I would agree with out, except that this has only happened during two periods when I was on cycle, or training heavy. Most of the time I never experience this, and nothing has changed about the way I sleep.
I sleep on my stomach and side. I absolutely cannot sleep on my back haha.
Same here bro, but I can't sleep on my back I snore like a mofo and wake myself up and I get pissed off....
Think maybe it could be nerve damage to some how?
Really need more info from him.
This is my guess as well. Happens often to me. I will say to the OP, if you believe thisbis from anythibg other than sleeping on your arm you should get it looked at. Circulatory problems can be serious, so it would be wise to rule it out.
Agreed if it happens while sleeping on his back then there is other issues to worry about.
I was just about to post the same thing. I get it everytime I sleep on my side for a long period of time. It is very common. Mine is a lot worse now from gh; my hands go numb just from inactivity like sitting and watching tv.
First - I'm not a doctor, so this is just my theory. Sounds like Carpel Tunnel Syndrome to me. Symptoms of CTS are numbness/tingling in the palm and fingers. CTS is caused by a number of factors but it seems that the effects are a result of the Median Nerve being compressed within the Carpel Tunnel, which is at the base of your palm. This compression can be cased by enlargement or aggravation of the Flexor tendon which covers the Carpel Tunnel. That aggravation can be created when working out using heavy weights that might press on the Flexor tendon such as heavy bench presses, over head presses and so forth. I suffer from CPS regularly, and as I ride a motorcycle, this also aggravates the Flexor tendon. That's just my 2c worth.
This makes sense. I was noticing my tendons feeling overworked the other day at the gym, probably because my strength is going up quickly from the gear. I was thinking my CNS was probably getting traumatized and possibly some inflammation could be impinging my nerve in my hand.
When it happened last summer I was also training for strength and lifting heavy often.
my first thought is an issue with blood flow, perhaps. have you got recent blood work and looked at blood health? what's your blood pressure been lately? have you been sleeping any differently since this started?
do you take any meds of any kind?
what's your hydration and water intake like?
My blood pressure has been completely normal every time Ive checked. I'm getting mid cycle bloods tomorrow and will look for anything unusual.
I don't take any meds at all.
My hydration i think is pretty good, I don't track it though. Ill try drinking a lot of water and see if helps.
