No rest for the wicked!

ad

I was at the gym last night doing bi's/back when a fellow gym rat says to me "Man, you don't mess around when it comes to biceps". After explaining that I felt biceps are my week group and that it doesn't seem to make a diff what I do, I just can't get them to pop. He says "maybe your over training".

Here's where your opinion comes in... What are your thoughts on over training? Mine is that if my split is set up correctly and my calorie intake is high enough, then days off don't need to come as often. I love the concept of adjusting the workout (i.e. cardio, reps, &sets) to use a high calorie diet to hit the specific goal I'm trying to reach at the time.

IMO there is no such thing as over training as long as ur getting the right amount nutrition. but this is different for everyone

That's what I say! No such thing as over training, only under eating.

AAS os no AAS your body still needs time to recover. I still train each muscle once a week. I hit it harder when I'm on a cycle but still wait a week until I hit it again. You will grow more with rest than constantly hitting them. Rip Tear Repair, that's how you grow. By the way nice first cycle. At least some people listen.

Thanks. So I'm currently doing bi's and back in same workout and chest and tri's in another. Do you think I should split all 4 groups into single workouts? What your current split?

Bi's and back along with tri's and chest are common. This what I do just because I don't have 2 hours to spend in the gym anymore.
Monday Chest 24 sets
Tuesday Back 24 sets
Wednesday Shoulders/traps 8 sets traps 16 sets shoulder
Thursday Arms 12 sets bi's 12 sets tri's 6 sets forearms
Friday Legs 28 sets
Monday/Friday Calves
Cardio Monday-Thursday.

Nice split. Like that, big groups in a single workout. Smaller groups all together. I might run that for bit.
